  • Ahh Goan I loove your bike! As my username suggests I love everything thats "retro"- though some definitions of retro are certainly not the same as mine! lol

Ive been finding stuff goes for far too much on ebay- Im not paying 15 quid for a second hand dress from Primark....I can never seem to find a bargain (apart from the skirt I have on today but I think I got that cheap cos its a bit garish for some!)...got any tips on how to search?

    Hello all!

I was only ebaying in the early hours because I was 'working' and needed to stay awake. I didn't buy anything today but will have a look at your things (to the peeps that pmed me - Thank you)

I wish I had a bike, but I'm too scared to ride one on the road :(

I went to the chazza shops today and got some bargains. A black and white flower print Principles skirt, a grey 'rock chick' style tshirt (very long), a black !!!!!bow top and a black and white bangle. Bargain at £8.50.

Then I got some necklaces from Claires (£4.50) - just long black and grey beads, and a fab dress in the DP sale (I had a voucher from surveys, dress was £7) it's black and white striped.

SO I didn't actually venture into the realms of colour but at least I got some bargains!

Today I have gone for a white fitted shirt, denim mini, black leggings, very heavy silver beaded necklace. Kind of rebellious school girl look because I wore a black blazer when I went out.

Well done on the finds, Caroline...look forward to seeing them on your blog!

retro_bluebell - as a business seller on eBay it constantly annoys me when idiots list Primark (and other high street brands) as "vintage".
I tend to search in the "Vintage" section using keywords like "1960's", "1970's", "Hippy", "Psychedelic".
I love searching on "ending soonest" and set the search options to "Between 0 - £5". Looking during the day is the best way to snap up a bargain , and if it's cheap I'm never disappointed with it as I can resell it.

    Goan

Right, next task..Transferred some of my ebay money to my bank, and left the rest for spending, but the ICs I had my eye on went waaay over budget last night, so have narrowed down my choices to the following :

I'm with that one too, it's lovely!
I've been slouching round in a hungover manner today, wearing black combats, purple and black diagonal striped tunic t-shirt and one of my pieced-together cardigan hoodies in purple with my sheepskin boots. Going to a friend's gig for a bit later so I'm going to get changed and put on a skirt and some coloured tights, maybe even heels =)

Right, off to do something about my appearance!

Thirding the red dress, it's divine. I know discussion has probably moved on re the jumpsuit, but wouldn't it look good under a very, very short, full skirt? Possibly with a large obi belt and lots of jangly bracelets up the arm. Alas I will never know as my physique is eminently unsuitable for jumpsuits, catsuits and similar. :D
