welcome retro, sorry I don't have much to say for myself, but did want to say hello


My new jeans are going on ebay
they make me feel like a whale so I'm not keeping them as they'll only trigger me.

Hello, retro! Love the sound of your skirt. I would live in skirts if I thought I could stand the cold! lol

Thought I would give the 'problem' purple skirt another go today.

Plum knee-length skater skirt with embroidered hem (La Redoute)
Black opaque tights
Black t-shirt with sequinned neckline (Factory shop)
Tan and multi-floral pumps with buckle detail (La Redoute)

Still not convinced!

Do you feel comfortable in it? I guess if not then maybe decide to get rid, but I sometimes do like to try new looks and outfits which i wouldn't have expected to suit me, and more often than not end up being pleasantly suprised..But i do think it sounds good

Have decided today's outfit makes me feel like a frump, which is a shame as Im meeting a friend for lunch in a little while..blah I like both the items, just not together I think..

Pf- nope, it's not worth returning them...they only cost £5 and it'll cost me more in bus fare to get in to town and take them back!
(£7.40 bus, no-one around to give me a lift for weeks)

Thanks for the welcome DB and Magpe-I too love skirts but I think this ones a tad too summery for this weather! I think I will wear it with leggings under next time save me feeling so paranoid lol- I love the sound of your skirt and the pumps actually the whole outfit sounds great

Daisy you may even make a profit on them if they are sale items selling them on ebay....I got some fab skinny jeans in the Tescos sale yesterday (they have some good stuff in atm) sort of bleached with rips and frays all over them- got a 12 which I am but they are sooo tight on my legs! My own fault I never try things on! Not good for the confidence so they are getting put on ebay tonight (only cost me 4.50) sohopefully I can make my money back then I will probably just buy a pair off there lol

Fair enough, wow it's been so long since i went anywhere on a bus :S (not very MSE..but I have started using my new bike (xmas present) for trips into town etc which i am currently loving!

yes i fell in love with it about a year ago, and wouldn't stop going on and on aboutu it, so finally for xmas my parents gave in to shut me up lol
