Love the bike Piratefairy.
Anybody else having one of those blurgh days? It doesn't help that I keep thinking it's Friday - must remember to actually go to work tomorrow and not think it's Saturday!
I don't have to be at work for another couple of hours, so I'm afraid I'm still in my dressing gown (Missoni, multi stripe, £20 bargain from TK Maxx).
And talking of stripy dressing gowns, that reminds me I had a "back of the wardrobe" find yesterday (don't you love it when that happens) when I discovered a skirt that I'd totally forgotten I had. It's a very Missoni-inspired swirly stripy print in turquoise, purples and fawn, a-line, knee length, in a thin jersey. I'll probably wear that today, with a black bell sleeve top, purple vintage Dior tights and black stretchy suede boots.
Have a good day folks.0 -
Ok I feel like Im taking over this thread but I can I pick your brains? Ive fallen in love with this dress http://www.cathkidston.co.uk/p-14532-cath-kidston-bouquet-navy-crepe-round-neck-dress.aspx
But I cant afford or justify that price tag- especially since its dry clean! Ive been searching for ages for a similar black ditsy print dress but they all seem to either be chiffon type or tunic style and I want one I can wear with tights not feel I have to put leggings under it as its too short! Id prefer something in jersey really too (dont want much me!)
Any ideas anyone?**"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."**0 -
PF, I didn't need to see that push-bike! Sooo cute.
retro - why not have a trawl round the local charity shops? You could pick up a longer tea-dress there and alter it. A change of buttons or trim can do wonders."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.

its funny you should say that my friend and i are going charity shop shopping tomorrow and Im really excited as I dont get the chance to go to the actual shops much (all online for me) without the kids so to get the whole afternoon to trawl through the rails at a charity shop is such a treat- its definitely on my list of things to find whie Im there....and we are going to the pub for tea after too lol**"Yesterday is gone. Charity shop trawling is the greatest. I don't get a chance to do it much now, I might have to nip along the street and have a quick look now though!
It got colder, so I changed! Only the tights are the same... lol. Feel a lot warmer and more ready to take on the world.

Welcome Magpye and Retro
Pirate Fairy I want that bike! My Mr is getting me a bike for my 21st(well it was my birthday in October but I haven't decided what one I want yet!).
Really wanted one like yours, with a basket and pretty colours, but he wants me to be able to go riding around in the woods and on 'proper' rides with him, so I think I have finally settled on this one

Afternoon, lovelies!
What a miserable day it is here - icy rain, freezing cold and gloomy. Time to find a flight to Goa, methinks! Bit of a boring day to report, visited the accountant, signed off tax return, paid tax due - very grown-up but sure beats working for someone else.
Today's outfit (on blog):
Vintage lime green lace blouse (£1.24 eBay)
Gent's navy blue dress pants revamped into shorts (50p Chazza shop)
Grey opaques
Black patent shoe boots (£2.95 Chazza shop )
Silver bangles and rings (India)
Vintge pearl earrings in style of bunches of grapes (Mum's jewellery box, again!)
Also wore - but taken off now:
Vintage green leather gloves (50p Car Boot)
Vintage multi-coloured double breasted check coat (20p Jumble sale)
Nice to see Magpye and Retro_bluebell are both charity shop affecionados! It's my weekly trawl of the local chazzas tomorrow, but think I'll check out eBay first - it's been ages since I made a purchase.
Enjoy your evenings and remember, it's nearly friday!

PS: Love the bikes, Piratefairy and Moonbabe. I dug out my childhood "Moulton Mini" from Mum and Dad's house last summer. It should look like this but after thirty-odd years in the cellar it needs TLC - you've inspired me to get
it back to it's former retro glory.
