Grey wonder dress (do I really only wear so few clothes, over and over?..oh well) this time over a purple slip from another dress. HUGE grey handbag, metallic blue/mauve heels. Possibly no tights again, which means I suppose, no coat...although might wear some pink tights if I can find them. Grey sunglasses from M and S. I want to wear a hat but can't find anything suitable.

Going to doctors, a bit bit nervous today: so nervous my skin has flared up again...:(

ETA: actually, have put on my gold disk earrings, & added a blue pink and green cocktail ring, and found pair of mauve tights. If nothing else I will be colourful!

ETA again, and some purple leather gloves. Why not?

Thank you daisybella and Hayles for your lovely, lovely comments. Daisybella, you were part of the inspiration for my blog so extra special thanks to you!

I had a bit of a wardrobe disaster this morning... I keep trying to dress down my new black high waisted tulip skirt so it's suitable for work, but it always looks too fancy, like I'm going out for dinner or something! So I changed last minute and got all flustered, hence today's slightly strange ensemble...

    Blue oriental print tunic
    Jeans
    Blue cardi
    Blue flower headband
    Black suede pixie boots
    Silver bangles
    Silver disco ball ring

I may just change the jeans for leggings and stick on some heels when I get home, before heading out for the cinema tonight! :)

Good luck at the doc's LIR!

Hope everyone's having a happy friday.

Been swimming this morning and for quick charity shop run. Managed to snaffle a stunning ""Ghost dress for £3.50 plus M&S had a mad clearance sale and grabbed three pairs of sunglasses with rather groovy quilted cases for £1 a pair!

    Today's oufit:
TopShop grey wash Baxter jeans (£1 car boot)
Vintage purple high heeled leather boots (charity shop years ago)
Aubergine TopShop vest (50p car boot)
River Island black angora trilby (£1 car boot sale)
Long grey vest with bleached assymmetric panel (£2 sample sale)
Purple leather trench coat (had years ago from a charity shop)
Choker with two large silver lovebirds (50p Miss Selfridge closing down sale)
Silver tribal bangles and rings (India)
    Silver bell earrings (Bali)
Celia Birtwell tote bag (Car boot 50p)

Got lots of eBay parcels to wrap now then hopining to have a relaxing evening mentally preparing myself for the quarterly scout jumble sale first thing in the morning.

    Hi everyone,

Daisybella, hope today goes as well as it can xx.

    Today I am wearing:

    Purple long sleeved top
    Dark denim jeggings
    My lovely new studded boots
Long black and grey snakeskin print cardi (my latest bargain £5 in Tesco clothing sale)
usual charm bracelets & wedding rings and long black clock necklace,

Feeling very rock chick and have matching sniffles to go with (due to a cold not an rock and roll living!)

Have a good day everyone xx

    Hello girls!

Lovely bright sunny blue sky here today. Hope those of you who are feeling a bit low today can see it too!

I'm grovelling after advice again......I'm sooo looking forward to my reunion do tomorrow....so rare for me to get a Sat night off anyway and can't wait to see my old friends!

Also looking forward to it cos I'm having so much fun with this outfit! The pewter clutch has arrived from Next and it's PERFECT. It's kind of light-illuminating but not in a glittery sequiny way IYKWIM, so it doesn't look dull!

    Now my make-up question!
My outfit colours are quite restrained for me, charcoal /black/creams/pewter. My hair is dark, eyes are greenish and medium skin tone. I think (hope) the outfit looks elegant but modern, in a very apt, slightly retro kind of way!!!!!(bearing in mind the age thing!). Should I keep the make-up to completely neutral shades. I tend to wear nudey pinky/brown lipstick and gloss anyway....just wondering about the eyes. Neutral again do you think?

Just worried about looking a bit bland. Would prefer to be brave than bland! ;)

    Any thoughts??

I would most certainly use colour. If you wan to be only a bit brave, dark hair, green eyes and neutrals...I'd go for purple toned eyemakeup. A bit braver.....bright purples and golds. But thats me!

With that gorgeous outfit I don't think you could possibly look bland!
I'm a big fan of Bourjois and absolutely love Noir Precieux - it's a deep purple-ly black that looks really smokey and sophisticated. Here's a link:

I reckon it would look fantastic with your colouring, Bronnie
