    I know, it's awesome Shoe Gal :D

Having established this week that I would incur no exit fee's from EDF if I moved energy supplier, I have just moved myself to npower. Cashback is currently £120 from Quidco :j However, as it's been winter I suspect I'm going to have to find some money to pay EDF when I leave them, but I would have to pay that at some point anyway, this way I'm on a slightly cheaper deal and have made some cashback. The cashback will go to the CC when it comes through :D

Next week's job...change phone and broadband supplier...

Just updated my 'plan of action' post on the first page of my thread. I'm quite pleased with the progress made. It's hasn't happened overnight and there's still a long way to go, but I have stuck to the plan and things are improving. I'm looking forward to being able to finally say I've got a cheaper phone and broadband deal next week. I am such a geek that at the moment I'd rather stay here and get that sorted than pack for a weekend away :o

ETA: Just checked Quidco again and £120 has tracked :T Now for that packing...have a good weekend folks! :D

    Hey Gwen

    You are doing really well.

I can't remember if you got an 'energy owl' (is that what they're called????) one of those things to monitor energy usage? I would love to get one but I had a feeling that you managed to get one on a deal or an offer or something?

Did that work for you at all?
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hi makeup

Thanks! It was nice to look at the post on my first page and see that I have made progress. It's felt like one step forwards, three steps back at times, but I am getting there.

I did get an energy usage monitor thingy through an offer in a newspaper, but haven't used it yet. To be honest, I'd forgotten about it until you just reminded me. I will get it out and get it connected :D

Hmmm funny old day here...I feel rather blue. I think I'm tired, but also I think it's playing on my mind that it is nearly the end of February  That means that it is 1/6th of the way through 2010 and that's so scary  I'd really like to have achieved more than I have, at least in terms of decluttering :o

Having said that though, I had a lot to deal with in January and things have still not totally settled down. I've also realised that I am not dealing with things as well as I'd like. I am trying to arrange to have some counselling. I can be fine for a while, then panic hits me, a feeling of utter terror that my life is going to fall apart, like everything is held together by the thinnest piece of thread that's going to snap at any minute.

Checking my bank account today probably hasn't helped my mood. I have spent too much in February. March is going to have to be a quiet month :( I'm sure I will manage though. I have lots of food in, so I must be careful about what I buy in. I need to cut right back on the coffee's and newspapers and magazines. I need to try and socialise cheaply and use my time at home productively to get things done or to have proper relaxation so that I'm less stressed. That's the plan :)

Right, to start me off, I've got a list:
    • Empty bins
    • Move money to Nationwide - Done :D
    • Sort post
    • Catch up on diaries - Getting there :)

On a positive note, I've worked out that I have over £250 to pay out from Quidco :j

Pay day in a few days, and the gap between February and March pay days is the shortest of the year for you :)

Yeah, I know....Thank God! I just need to hold on. It's ok, but I need to stop all the 'little treats' this month.

I need to try and stop stressing about everything. Ultimately I can't think of a time when stressing has helped a situation, so I need to try to stop it however hard it is.
