Hi Shoe Gal!
Week wasn't too bad in the end, thanksAlthough I was unbelievably tired and kept having dizzy/faint spells, which was a bit frightening. I think I'm slightly anaemic so I've been trying to remember to take my iron tablets.
Work was a bit of a nightmare the first half, then things started to get sorted the second half. Made quite a lot of progress, so I feel good about that.
Spent some time trying to sort the Nationwide move mess out and I think I'm nearly sorted.
Paid in the cheque for £6.66 from Music Magpie. Once it clears, it will got to the CC...every little helps
Called up Hastings Direct AGAIN about my still non-existant fuel vouchers and they are referring it to their Customer Services team. I've started drafting a letter which will be sent this week, if I don't hear anything from them or receive the vouchers. I am actually quite skint this month and a tank of petrol would come in very handy.
I also queried the £20 missing payment on Quidco from A&L. Waiting to hear about that.
Haven't managed to list anything else on Amazon yet, but I've got myself a couple of boxes for items to be Amazon/ebayed which I will plonk things into as I declutter. I'm going to try and prepare things for ebay (take photo's, write descriptions) in preparation for the next free listing day. I've already put a lovely Coast skirt and top into the box, which I hope will sell well.
Saw my lovely friend yesterday and her baby, who is soo cute and has grown a lot since I last saw her. I even got a couple of smiles out of her, which was just adorableAlso, went out for a lovely meal last night, so that was nice.
Right, I'd better get off.

Sounds like a good weekend Gwen.
I met my friends baby today - just a day old! Very cute and very huggable!!!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Thanks, makeup. It was lovely to see my mate and her baby. She's my best friend and we've both had a bit of a rough time recently, so it was good to catch up and see that we're both doing a bit better now
A day old?! Blimey! Teeny tiny! I prefer them a bit bigger, they're too small and delicate at that age...I always worry I'll break them...:o
It's only yesterday and today I've finally felt better in over a week. I need to take better care of myself. I need to drink more water, take my vitamins religiously, get more sleep and relax more.
Relaxing should be a bit easier now that I've had some info on the future redundancies. They can't change our package, so I should be ok even if I do get made redundant. In fact, I can't help thinking it might be the best thing all round. Do up or get rid of this house and have a fresh start.
I noticed on today's MSE email that there's a good offer on for O2 broadband at the moment. My Be broadband has stopped working a few times in the last week now, which is sooo annoying  I'd forgotten about my Vodafone dongle though, which is now coming in handy (although I do resent paying for broadband twice ). I tried it with the cable tonight and it's still not working so it's not as if it's just the wireless bit that's not working. I'm just not sure if I'll get the cashback being with Be broadband already.
Also noticed £110 on a duel fual switch to Scottish Power through quidco, which I might do. I'm not sure if I have cancellation charges with EDF though. I don't remember them (and I was looking to avoid them), but now when I go on the EDF website it looks like there are cancellation fees with that deal.
Otherwise the sat nav has finally been ordered. Should be here this week. Hope it's ok. In the end, I just picked one
I need to get in touch with some of my friends and the boy from POF, who probably all think I'm dead as I've not been very with it for the last week or so....and the boy from POF seems really nice
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Argh! The vodafone dongle won't let me on POF due to content control!!! Grrrr :mad:Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0

Glad to hear you're feeling better and also really pleased to hear that your company can't cheat you out of your redunancy.
At least you know where you will be if they decide your job is one of the ones to go.
Good luck with POF Boy - at least when you can get onto it!
Who knew that Vodafone was like your boss!!!!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Thanks makeup :A
Yep, it's a good package. I've just got to wait to see how likely redundancy will be and think of something else I want to do.
I know! He seems really nice and he's put up with a lot already. He always messages me back really quickly and then I take ages cos I'm either busy with family stuff or up to my eyeballs at work or something.
I'm afraid to say the salsa dancing course bit the dustTrying not to beat myself up too much about it. I didn't lose any money, but I wanted to do it. There will be other courses though...
At least I have some energy now to do things, the last week has been carp.

Hi Gwen

Thanks ShoeGal! Hope you enjoyed your day off and your night out
I'll pop over to your thread and post in a bit. Has work been very busy again? Hoping for a relaxing weekend for you, it's horrible when work takes over your life :A
I'm just psyching myself up to actually get out of bed, get a few things from the supermarket, put the car round the carwash and check the tyre pressure. It's the last job in that list that I particularly hate and the reason for my procrastination.
I feel much better, thanks. I'm like a different woman this week. Relieved to have found some energy from somewhere and have resolved to look after myself a bit better.
The sat nav has arrived :j Haven't tried it yet, that's a job for tomorrow, but very excited that my days of getting lost may be over
I have a few more items to list on Amazon this weekend, I need to investigate the O2 broadband deal and switching to Scottish Power. That would net me £180 cashback AND lower bills if I can get them both
I've just paid the £6.66 I got from music magpie to my Barclaycard, it all helps
I need to finish my letter to Hastings Direct aswell this weekend, because the £30 of fuel vouchers have still not arrived
Looking forward to the 'So you think you can dance final' tonight

Hi Gwen,
Great to hear you sounding more upbeat :j Yay for all those fab potential quidco transactions, I keep looking at the Scottish Power swap, was with them previously & customer service was excellent although now they've had some not so good reviews.
Very exciting about the satnav too ? I'd be tempted just to put in random addresses & drive about to see how it works - big kid
I have been avoiding the tyre pressure machine for about a month as my car is so dirty. I keep trying to persaude my boss to get a valeting company to come in do all employees cars - would then slip an extra tenner in to get my tyres done too0 -

Hi!
Thanks Lula! I crashed yesterday afternoon and felt really tired, but perked up again today. I never got to the carwash yesterday, but did today and checked my tyres. Only problem was I forgot to take my aerial off the car before I went through and now I think it's broken  Going to have to pop to Halford's at some point this week and get a new oneI'm always tempted to get my car valeted, but when I owe money on a CC and can get a bucket of water out (only in warmer weather though!) or go round the carwash I don't do it. However, in this case, it probably would have worked out cheaper *rollseyes*
I'm now leaning more towards Plusnet for both phone and broadband rather than O2 and I need to do some more research on the Scottish Power switch. I'm not sure if I would incur cancellation fees with EDF. I've never had a problem with Scottish Power's customer service, but I've heard bad reviews recently aswell. Hmmm....
Talking of bad customer service, Hastings Direct still haven't sent my fuel vouchers and I've read bad things on the thread about it on the Insurance forum. I have written a rather scathing letter this afternoon, that I will print and post tomorrow. I WILL get my vouchers.
Haven't tested the sat nav yet and it may have to wait until next weekend.
Right, off to do more.
