Yay Shoe Gal! And I saw you made some lovely purchases with them all. Nice way to treat yourself in January :)

I need to go to bed in a sec, I'm so tired tonight. I went out last night, which was good. I'm meeting some friends this weekend, which will be good...I need to get my social life back on track...

Just checked quidco and everything bar a few little payments on Christmas shopping (£1-2) has moved to validated which is great :j Hopefully some of those will pay out soon.

I haven't investigated phone and broadband deals or sat nav's :wall: In fact I've achieved very little today... I may make a list for this week...

Thanks claire0788 :) I've had a horrible cold this week and I still feel really bunged up and have bad sinus pain. I've been trying to get a few things done though.

The underwear arrived from M&S and I called them to get the £15 voucher value refunded. I'm informed it's gone through - God, I hope so, I really can't face calling up again *insert rollyeyessmilie here*

I called Woolwich to find out my current mortgage balance and rate. It was pretty much as expected. If rates are expected to go up I may need to think about fixing though  Argh! An ongoing dilemma, I really need to be paying as low an interest rate as I can, but I'd like to be free to sell if needed. I guess you can't have it all though. I need to seriously think about fixing my rate...

Waited for a cheque from music magpie and a petrol voucher from Hastings Direct - none yet - must sort out next week if nothing comes by then.

Checked Nationwide bank account - they've finally started moving over my direct debits and standing orders :j I'm hoping that everything goes out of there next week instead of my old A&L account and my £50 pays out promptly :D

Oh yes, the main news is that I've booked a holiday! Well actually it's my friends wedding and I'm going :D If I'm totally honest, I have no idea how I'm going to pay for it :o I know, I know, I am a very, very bad DFW :o However, I didn't go anywhere last year and I also missed another good friend's wedding abroad through lack of funds and I aim to work very, very hard to make some extra money to pay for it.

And I've just started :D Ok, really I've been bad again... I opened a Post Office credit card on quidco for £14 cashback. I'm now waiting for that to track and my £20 from A&L for my online saver account  Documenting here as I know I have a memory worse than a goldfish at the moment and I want my money!!!

I'm currently halfway through my Tesco grocery order online and I'm going to use my £10 ecoupon. I also intend to use a code for extra points that I got in an email this week.

I still need to look for a sat nav and a new phone and broadband deal, but my concentration span is hopeless at the moment, so I'm not doing too well on that front :o

I'm going to write myself a little to do list for tonight in a minute as I'm out tomorrow and the rest of the weekend will be pretty busy too.

Tesco order completed :D Slightly worried at the £10 ecoupon appears on my receipt as a £10 Clubcard voucher  Hoping it'll credit as it should and there won't be a problem. Also used a code for 200 extra Clubcard points :D

Just added up my World Cup countdown and assuming I get the quidco cashback for the A&L online saver and the Post Office credit card, my total is now £49. It's not amazing, but it's a start :)

I also realised that I didn't count the Nationwide £50 in the previous countdown, so if it pays out (and it had better ) then I will count it towards the World Cup countdown.

Still hoping my £10 M&S giftcard might show up, but no sign of it so far. It must be round here somewhere. Doesn't help that my living room is a TIP.

Thanks Lula, that's why I write it all down on here! January hasn't exactly been the start to 2010 I would have hoped for, but I'm just plodding along. Hopefully if I just keep working away at things, at some point I'll get where I want to be.

I haven't tried on the boyfriend jumper yet, but I will report back once I have :) I did get a gorgeous long grey wool boyfriend cardigan for Christmas aswell :D I feel fairly well equipped clothes wise, but I could do with losing some weight as everything is a little tight and I'm not too happy with my size at the moment. The only other things on my radar currently are a checked shirt and a pair of jeans, but I can't afford them and have other things I'd rather get, so they will wait or I'll just manage without them. Thank God I'm not doing the Clothes Challenge!! :o Having said that, I'm quite proud of myself. I think my whole attitude to shopping has changed over the last year or so. I still love clothes, shoes and nice things like everybody does, but I'm quite aware now that it's a short term happiness fix. I'd rather have a nice house, be able to have holidays and not have to worry about money so much.

The £15 refund from M&S (due to their evoucher not working) has finally come through :j and I've ended January not-to-badly despite a few nights out (January is normally a social desert). However, I have booked a holiday now, so I need to get on with things.

The £14 for the Post Office credit card has not tracked yet and neither has the A&L online saver :( Is anybody else finding things aren't tracking on there at the moment?

I'm going to list my first book on Amazon this afternoon. I am, I am, I am... I'm not allowed to post on here again until I have!

    Gwenx

ETA: Just checked my A&L current account and it looks like some direct debits have moved over to Nationwide, but not others  This has the potential to get VERY confusing :(

I've been paid! Woohoo!! Moved £150 over to my house savings to top that up nicely. I like the new figure much better :) My council tax should be considerably lower this month, so I will save the difference between what I used to pay and my new payments, as it's money I'm not used to having anyway, so it can go towards house improvements. I will amend my sig again once I've sorted that out.

I listed my first book on Amazon! If it sells I should make £14.63 profit. Not bad. I intend to have another look through my books/CDs/DVDs this week to see if there's anything else I don't want or need anymore that I could list. I'm sure there is plenty...

I tried on the boyfriend jumper and it's really nice! I love it. It seems to have a good amount of lycra in to hold it's shape and covers my @rse adequately :D It's just the right length and I can wear it with skinny jeans or leggings I think.

Got a massive list of things I want to get done this week, but I'm still full of cold, so I'm not going to push myself too hard. Getting rid of this cold is the priority!

    Thanks Lula! PM'd you back.

The book hasn't sold yet, but hopefully will do soon! I need to get on and list more stuff on there, but where is January going?? Half of me thinks it can't end soon enough, the other half thinks 'where is it going??'

A bit upset by some so-called friends on facebook, but if I'm honest I think I really knew they weren't 'proper' friends anyway, so I'll just ignore them and carry on being fabulous or at least trying to be :o
