To report back - they couldn't shift the account limits around - neither call centre op nor his manager knew how to do it! In the end they just applied for a standard credit limit increase for me - which was rejected!!! :-o0

It's been standard on their accounts for quite some time now - have you just phoned them and spoke to a weekend warrior or during normal office hours?"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
Normal office hours. Bloke seemed to think that it was impossible to "merge" the accounts, as he kept calling it, which either of them had a positive balance. As I had detailed BTs in my application form, they transferred as soon as the account went live.0

I just got called finally about my application from 2-3 weeks ago and its approved, they have also moved most of my mbna limit over onto this card, they said if I ever close the other mbna one just ring up and I can have the remaining limit transferred to this one so its definately possible, just need the right member of staff it would appear!0

I am having problems with my Virgin card. Applied on the 0% fee, did the balance transfer over the phone (getting them to confirm many times it was 0% fee), and guess what. I got charged a 4% fee.
I've spoken to them 4 times over the past 2 weeks and each time get told that they made a mistake and they'll remove it but they still haven't. Feel like I'm hitting my head against a brick wall!
Any suggestions on how to proceed?0 -

You'll then have your money credited back to the account within 8 weeks (of the date they receive your complaint).0 -
I have just had a callback from Virgin, before I logged a formal complaint. Apparently the offer did not include money transfers at 0%, just balance transfers. We have agreed that if I pay back the amount I borrowed they would write off the fee.
Not ideal, but its a solution to the problem!0 -
Just out of interest, does the 0% deal end on the 9 month anniversary of the account setup, or does it end on the due date of the 9th bill? I'm unsure as to when I should pay off the balance in full to avoid the interest charge.0
