Nope, "shed" is the common name for a DIY store... :cool:If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

ikea are apparently difficult to assemble due to base units being tight at back and not much room for error.

Yeah, you don't get a service gap with Ikea kitchens, which can lead to problems if you are running pipes/wiring behind...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

MW/Blacktaxi/whomsoever knows, what is the situation with build quality? When I mentioned Homebase to Howdens they rubbished them talking about chipboard when they have MDF etc. Double-dutch to me, can you explain in English?
I have a small family (3 of us) and we don't spend an inordinate amount of time in the kitchen (too clautrophobic!) - so it would not be taking a helluva beating, are these material differences relevant?0 -

I know, blacktaxi, but I'm not a practical person, so dunno if there's any truth in it, or how relevant the differences are.0

i think i would understand it more if i saw my kitchen being really bashed about by sloppy teens or something but i suppose in houses where the kitchen isnt used like its a hotel or commercial kitchen, i dont really think it does make any difference in quality build, i know i keep banging on about my old kitchen, but over the years, there really was nothing wrong with it, no buckling or bowing of shelves, no wearing of doors or anything, i mean how badly is a kitchen going to be treated???0

Yes Jenner, our kitchen only suffers trauma when the wife's baking goes wrong.:eek:0

yes, Blactaxi, we only revealed other quotes after they had quoted. Wickes lady's first question was "what was the other quote you had?" - cheeky blighter!0
