Given GTC history of her feelings to do with the whole fashion thread I don't think it's unreasonable to think that it was designed to provoke a specific reaction.
But hey in the interests of being a grown up I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Well one could argue that depends on which side of the fence you stand.
I actually was referring not to the physcial poll but the thread that comes with it. sorry Bounder can't read a tone in your question so not sure if you're being sarky or asking a genuine question

I was just wondering if her one and only post on MSE was helpful to those who voted for daily as I wouldnt have thought it was.Given that her name is along side them.Bitsy_Beans wrote: »Well one could argue that depends on which side of the fence you stand.

So since no one has done one I thought I'd have a stab (my first time so please be gentle with me if it doesn't work out right

There are two options. Vote for either a Daily or Weekly thread. I haven't supplied an option for "no thread" as I doubt the ladies and gent are going to stop posting any time soon
I also haven't supplied an option for "not bothered" because now is not the time for ambiguity
So can I entice all you lurkers out there to vote on the subject. It has been suggested a great deal that many oppose the daily thread, this is your chance to make your choice known.
And to the contributors of the "Fashion" thread if the majority votes for a Weekly thread will you abide by majority rule?
Edited to add:
Poll will self destruct on the stroke of midnight on Sunday
(sorry that's the Mission Impossible in me :rotfl:)
As nice a sentiment as this poll is, I'm afraid I won't be voting. Firstly because either way I'm fine with it, and secondly because you can see the usernames of people and who they voted for and I don't want to vote and then has someone start on me because they do not like my vote.
When it comes down to it everyone, we are all stuck together for the foreseeable. I have been a regular on the H&B board for a long time - before fashion was even added here, not always posting but always around, and I really miss how friendly and nice this place used to be before all the arguments started.
I read and participate in threads on health, beauty and clothing, and yes, sometimes one thing or another does over crowd the front page. But I've never gotten to the stage of arguing with those starting the threads because I didn't like them. I don't understand why it has to happen now, but perhaps once it is sorted once and for all this board will be a nice peaceful place once more.
Essentially what I'm trying to say is that I don't mind how this is sorted, I'd just like to see a move back towards the less negative way the board used to be. in other words you were on the H & B board long before it became disrupted and cluttered up with unwarranted daily threads. you want to go back to how it was. dont we all apart form just a few stubborn people who want to start posting loads of daily threads on a minority subject when one would do.
Im with you go back to how it was. One thread per subject and let the BGs decide when it needs renewing.Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -

I guess it depends on whether you want to win by numbers or by gaining support by smart posting.
Look I am sorry I didn't make the poll anonymous next time someone can set the ruddy thing up
BUT people shouldn't fear to post because it isn't. Surely if you are being bullied for voting one way in a poll the is tantamount to harrassment something MSE towers would look down on.
Plushroom please vote - the poll is meaningless if people aren't prepared to make their preferences known. There have been lots of comments to say the daily thread is an annoyance and but also a much loved thread. this is the chance to prove it one way or another.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

A Daily ThreadAll I can see was gottochange asking you if it were her posts that were deleteted as she could see through her posting history none were
Now your posts (and others on these threads) IMPLY that gottochange posts are the ones that are being pulled.
I think she is well within her rights to ask you to clarify what posts you are talking about.
So whats snide or derailing about asking for clarification? Or once again is it a case of throw the accusactions but be unable to back them up so muddy the waters a bit and hope no one notices?
OK, not sure whether this was addressed to me or not. I only talked about GotToChange's post, not her entire posting history. I said that that particular post seemed snide, she was obviously having a go at Bronnie for some reason. She was not asking MSE in general whether it was her posts which were deleted, she was addressing her question to Bronnie. I was merely asking why.
Edit: sorry, I see that you addressed your post to BitsyBeans. And may I sugges you go read gottochanges posting history and see how much help s/he is to other people in other threads?
Funny how we all see the written word differently. All because we have a one sided view of something
As I said, I haven't come across GotToChange before so can't comment. I have, however, seen many of Bronnie's posts and have found her to be very nice. I'm sure that GotToChange is nice too, it may just be that the two of them have rubbed each other up the wrong way (oo-er).Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Well, unfortunately her question wasn't very reverent. So the 'backs out reverently' bit just seemed a bit passive aggressive TBH. It's the equivalent of someone saying 'no offence like' after saying something offensive. Read the post again, she was clearly having a go at Bronnie.
Anyway! The last thing I want is for you and I to fall out suki1964, so let's not. I accept what you say, my opinion may differ but that's what makes life interesting. :A~*Plushroom*~ wrote: »either way I'm fine with it I really miss how friendly and nice this place used to be before all the arguments started.
