As to cig ends, I can't stand smokers who chuck them on the floor, it's littering & absolutely vile!

Here's one, if you're blind. Blind people legally do not have to pick up after their Dog & couldn't be expected to either

Don't they train them to go to toilet in a certain place only or something? The dogs that is....

I live next to a footpath and regularly pick up bags of dog mess which people leave to pick up later on their way back (but never do). I know where one guy lives and am 90% sure he is doing it and if I ever witness him leaving the dog muck I will be returning it to him via his doorstep.

Ive actually done that soem lovely old dear from down the road kept letting her rat on a lead mess on our front lawn even after being asked politely to clean it up as the kids played ther or take the dog elsewhere she still kept doing it. So i started picking it up and dumping it in her garden after a few days i didnt see her again :-)

According to the lunchtime news in an article on Birmingham, it takes twelve years fora cigarette end to decompose. How long does it take a poo?

I'd rather stand on a fag end. And they have the added bonus of not sticking to your kids bike tyres.

I ALWAYS pick/scrape up, and am loaded down with poo bags when I go out. I absolutely hate it when people don't pick up and would not hesitate to offer someone a bag. Here's a tale of finding one that wasn't picked up... :D

About 10 years ago I had an appointment at an estate agents. I parked my car, went round to the passenger side to get DD (who was 4) out. She got her foot trapped in the seatbelt and fell out of the car into the gutter. I picked her up, locked the car, and went into the EA's. I sat there chatting to the EA and thought 'what a horrible smell'. Can you guess?? There'd been dog poo in the gutter, when I picked DD up I trod in it (it was dark), and as she'd fallen in it it also transferred onto my jeans when I picked her up. I walked into the EA's, leaving it on their carpet and stinking to high heaven. How embarrased did I feel :rotfl:

I guess it's each to their own, but dog poo doesn't generally bother me whereas cigarette ends are just abominable.

What annoys me is if I am walking OH's brothers dogs (he doesnt walk them enough -rant for another day though) because they are female they squat to pee and the dirty looks I get while waiting for them to finish peeing and then continue walking because people think they are pooing lol.

With my cigarettes, if I'm not near a bin I usually have a spare empty box in my bag to put the butts into until I reach the next bin etc.

But dog poo has always annoyed me more than cigarette butts- both as non-smoker and smoker and dog owner and non-dog owner
