So checking the specification on the manufactures' website does not count?
not when your not buying of of the manufacturer direct
once again, common sense would tell you that laptop models have various specs etc, and if you cant find out what your buying, dont buy? simple enough isnt it?Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -

True but this discussion is about only one model the NC10, it is only very recently that Samsung have offered this particular NC10 with a 3 cell battery and not the normal 6 cell battery.
No doubt this due to pressure from various companies wishing to sell the very popular NC10 at a cheaper price, unfortunatly these companies don't seem to make it completely clear that the battery that comes with this NC10 is the 3 cell version and not the standard 6 cell.0 -

yes this model having different specs..... it happens often
and they have made it perfectly clear if not stating the 3 cell battery then the reduced battery life, in which case there is nothing to complain about, argos as i explained cannot possibly list all specifications but those that are the most looked for ie processor ram and hdd.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -

Not on the NC10, the only differnce is choice of colour and a 3g modem0 -
Argos have only one version of the NC10 in their printed catalogue with plenty of space around the entry so it shouldn't have been too much trouble for them to have put the battery life in.0

So if you only have access to reviews in printed media that only make reference to the Samsung NC10 having a 7 hour battery and when you see the same product in the Argos catalogue but are not fortuante enough to have an internet connection where you can spend hours researching what is the prospective purchaser to do?0

Unfortunately I fell for the trap, by assuming the NC-10 bought recently from Argos was the usual high-spec machine that had received all the great reviews. I was looking for long battery duration for wireless internet whilst out on the road. The one bought from Argos barely lasts 2 hours on full charge.
I read the warning posts here too late, and found that it came with the 2200mAh battery instead of the norrmal 5200mAh.
Argos did not seem to like the negative review I left when they asked for feedback, as I see they did not put it on the website.
If you're thinking of buying one, check the spec carefully if battery life is important to you, and choose a retailer who gives out this kind of information clearly.0 -
Handy (website in general is very handy for all samsung notebooks)
