A trim is a trim no matter what length your hair is.
A trim is taken to mean a centimetre or two off the ends
And my hair was past my shoulders heading towards my bra strap so pretty long Id say
And I couldnt have known if he had a talent or not, it was an area of london I had never been before in my life and I didnt know him from adam. Shop was empty bar him and his friend chatting so in I walked
OK, didn't realise it was a trim. If you have layers/a 'style' it may be trickier.

I do
Did you think I just stuck a pudding basin over my head and cut around?
Barbers are just as capable of cutting hair as a hairdresser. in fact my last three cuts were by barbers, the last one was a lass in a hair dressers who insisted she only done mens hair. Turned out she could cut womens just as well as mens, she just decided to stick to doing guys as the overheads were less, they were done a lot quicker and she just honestly preferred to do the guys
The two male barbers I had seen also were trained, time served hairdressers and neither had a problem with my layers0 -
A friend recommended a local hairdressers which I tried today. Very pleased and only £18 for cut and blowdry. If I want my roots done it's and extra £9 and foils is £45 including cut and blowdry.

I have Afro hair too, and pay crazy prices:eek::eek::eek:.I go to Nicky Oliver in Manchester City Centre , but my goodness they are great. I have had some really bad, hair do's , in salons that just could not handle my crazy afro curls:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
And believe me, Chika's story of the Cheaper Afro hair salon may sound harsh ..............but is o, so very true
I appreciate Each and Every win. I thank every comp poster from the bottom of my heart :A0 -
I go to Poland and pay £20 for a full head of highlights (foil), three different shades of blonde/caramel, cut and blow dry + straightening. And she does very thin strips of hair, so it looks natural.
Unfortunately, I find the quality in the UK very low. I have never seen a woman with nice-looking highlights. Most are yellow because the hairdressers don't bother to keep them in long enough. And they're quite thick, too. I wouldn't mind asking someone where they get their hair done if I saw someone with a really nice colour. I also don't understand the practice of only doing half the head. What would you want that for??? What if you put your hair up?
Can't justify paying 120 quid here (that's what I was quoted in T&G because I have very long hair).0 -
How much?!? 3-4 times a year? What does that do to your hair? Won't coconut oil, cling film and heat do the same thing?
I have crazy hair that goes like candy floss and is so thick it takes a mammoth effort with straighteners to get it to sit straight. The treatment adds keratin into the hair and it is then straightened and over the next few months the keratin gradually comes out of the hair. It makes an amazing difference to my hair and I love it
