Over 100 posts! Yes I do have a tendancy to waffle:rotfl:.

Well lets get started on this bloomin letters.

Barclaycard sent us a letter requesting min payment of £3.87 on 14/08/09 (pro rata payment is £7.33 which was paid on 7/8/09), however the letter rec'ed y'day saying the payment is to low and we need to increase our offer:confused:. Going draft letter enclosing the 1st letter of min pay £3.87 to see what they say - could well be that the 2nd letter was computer generated?!?

Capital One have offered us two different payment plans - 1 short term 1 long term will write back opting for 2nd option.

Mint & Tesco need to put a default on to our account before they take any further action:confused:(I haven't paid these this month as I didn't have details).

Citi are looking for a further £150 to bring our account up to date - no can do sorry ain't go a further £150.

Bank of Scotland have cancelled our dd as requested:confused:. Didn't request them to do anything - I cancelled it!

So off to draft some letters and then head out with the kids for a few hours.

    Be back soon

Aah Barclaycard - what a load of twits:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Yes drafting a good letter would be an idea, certainly asking them to clarify the reason behind the second letter would be helpful.

Capital One - what are the plans they offered. Do both freeze interest / charges?

Mint & Tesco - fair enough. You should receive these fairly swiftly and then can move on with these. Have you received this in writing from both?

Citi - have they responded to your reduced offer letter or ignored it and sent this? If so, you should send the "please reconsider you nasty banker" letter. I can post this if you need it.;)

Bank of Scotland - d/d? Is this for a loan / cc? I think this is the one who were suggesting you go via CCCS/Payplan so I think you should send off the letter something similar to that I used myself. Its worth a try - they are still ignoring me anyway.

Speak soon, I should be on and off most of today and tonight.:A

    Hi Gar

I have drafted a few letters to post tomorrow. Did you get templates from somewhere? I just write short and to the point but maybe I should send more comprehensive letters:confused:. Oh, I don't know they are wasting their time chasing for more money as we haven't any extra:o.
  • Ok, so I am now huffing

Just spent the last 15 mins typing my ramblings and MSE decided not to let me post it and they have now disappeared

I was doing my spends so as I am huffing and not typing them again heres a quick run down - spent £2.00 @ footie this morning and a further £36.89 at Mr T's but had vouchers so only cost me £22.08 in cash:j.

Doubled up £5.00 of my clubcard vouchers so was able to get 3 bottles of wine:j - 3 bottles for a £5 dig that:p:j.

Got to sort the kids out! I can hear them bouncing out the back so will be back soon:cool:

Will post the templates i used in a moment. Well done at Mr T, what a bargain!

Obviously you have the one I sent when they suggest going via CCCS / Payplan but for the others I've used this:

    Dear Sir / Madam ,

    Re ACCOUNT NUMBER:

Thank you for your letter of xx/xx/xx concerning the above account.

I/We am/are are sorry that you feel unable to accept the offer have made. The majority of my/our other creditors have accepted the offers made to them and I/we have commenced payments.

I/We cannot offer you more because I/we can only afford £x per month between all the other creditors, and it would be wrong to cease or reduce payments to all other creditors in favour of your company. The offer made to you is on a pro rata basis, as used by the county court.

In the light of the other creditors agreeing to my/our repayment plan, please would you reconsider my/our offer. I/We will be making the payments in line with the offer to your company, on a weekly/monthly basis, as a gesture of goodwill.

I/We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

    Yours faithfully

They offered (this is OH's card) a short term payment plan to last six months or a long term payment plan which will be 6+ months - they will freeze all interest and charges so it seems they are accepting it. I have drafted a letter to confirm we will take the long term payment plan.
  • Should I open a bottle of my £1.66 wine:confused:. Hubby off tomorrow he would share:o.
