Morning peeps
Another day, anothe dollar! I wonder what today will bring?
My NSD went a bit belly up yesterday. I went to Tesco's last night and spent a further £18.10.
This should do me all weekend food wise and I bought dog food as well so it wasn't more than I expected. I dropped a brand as well and Mr T's value range is now nicely arranged in my cupboards.
Today I plan to spend very little or nothing at all. The sun looks to be coming out and the boys are quite content playing in the garden or if they're lucky I might take them somewhere with their Go-Carts - jeepers I spoil those kids.
So have a nice day all and I will be back throughout the day.0 -
Hi BJ,
For once the sun is out here, so I took the 3 little [STRIKE]brats[/STRIKE] darlings to the Summerlee Heritage Museum (FREE) after their soccer camp (FREE) then to another park and gave each an ice cream cone (NOT FREE £3.30). All in all not a bad spending day considering i kept all 3 busy the entire day.
Nothing much else to report, hope your day went to planLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Hi Gar
I just posted on your thread before looking here.
We went go-karting in the park which was good fun but I had to push the blo ody thing up the hill with my eldest sat in it - not so much fun! I'll not be able to walk tomorrow:p.
I received a letter from Capital One requesting my income details - no can do as I don't have an income other than Child Benefit & Tax Credits. Going have a browse around the net to see what if anything I can reply to that - think I'll add that to my list for tomorrow.
OH phoned earlier to say his bank details have been changed - hooray:j. So fingers crossed it goes to the right account and there isn't a c0ck up:mad:!
My spends today were very little:
£1 - bottle of bleach (with 66% free:p).
£1.19 - 6x hot dog baps (boys apparently needed hot dogs for lunch)
So not a bad day for me.
OH working tonight so going have a lazy night once I get the boys sorted and off to their pits.
Can't wait for the end of this month and start afresh in Sept as I will have a better idea of how we will manage - this month our money seems to have disappeared - think it must be the fairies that live in the attic spending it:eek:.
Oh and Citi have started calling a little too often so I will send of the harrassment letter. I was going to do this last week and then decided to give it a while to see if it settled down.
Catch you later.

Hi BJ,
Hope you rewarded your tired legs with a glass of wine on your quiet night.
Great news about OH salary going into the new account.

Thanks for the info. I am thinking some of our debts will be passed to Blair Oliver Scott as we have a lot of money owed to Halifax and Bank of Scotland.
You're very welcomeOnce the initial stress of agreeing reduced payments etc. has been sorted, I have to say that they've been my favourite DCA (although that's so not the term to use!) I've only heard from them three times in three years and that was without a template 'stop hassling me' letter.
I received a letter from Capital One requesting my income details - no can do as I don't have an income other than Child Benefit & Tax Credits
This shouldn't require a template letter or anything of that ilk to reply to. I'd simply send them a letter saying that you have no earned income. Unless the debt is held in common with your OH they aren't entitled to include his income in the equation, or the Tax Credits (as you wouldn't be getting these if he wasn't working, right?) They certainly have no right to request money from your child benefits!
Try to remain as chirpy as you can about dealing with DCAs. While you will speak to the off jerk on the phone, many people actually find them less stressful to deal with than the collections arms of the banks that they can't afford to pay back.0 -
