Mobiles.co.uk cashback problems

Silk,
Sorry, I used the wrong word when I said claims. I was referring to issues, rather than cashback claims. Sorry to have mislead.
I will be interested to read your follow up when you have time as to your view as to whether you think the issue is one of dishonesty or administrative incompetence.0 -
Just checking - so it was me you were referring to. However, you seem to regard not getting paid on time (at any time) as "have not posted any details on this thread". You also seem to regard that issue as unimportant and are content with the rep's avoidance of accepting that they ignore their t&c by sidestepping and trying to add extra days (apart from claiming that everyone gets paid within FOURTEEN days which is utterly UNTRUE)!
Whether I am disposed to give details of other problems I have had is quite irrelevant. I have not described you as a "commentator" merely because I do no know if you have much experience with this dealer or not. As far as I'm concerned, this forum also acts as an information and warning source for a lot of people who ARE "commentators" or , if they haven't posted, "observers" - in that it may ptrotect them from ending up with exactly the SAME problems as many others on here by thinking very carefully about using the dealer. If I were a novice I'd rather take heed of warnings from actual customers - and there are LOTS of them - rather than rep's soothing but groundless announcements and a handful of others who seem for some reason more than willing to give them the "benefit of the doubt" - no matter HOW much evidence appears to the contrary. I would especially be interested in the Rep ignoring their own t&c whenever they are pinned down whilst enforcing them rigorously when they get the slightest chance NOT to pay a cashback claim (my particular area of expertise). That's apart from the fatc that there is already on this thread at least one completely VALID claim which was rejected!0 -

At the moment we seem to be dealing with a company that has incompetent staff whether that is because of lack of training or poor selection of staff is hard to work out.
What is absolutly certain is Management is to blame without a doubt but more on that some other time

No - not just you. I include myself and others who have commented but have not posted up details of any personal troubles they have had. The payment period seems to be the only direct personal issue you have - indeed I would expect nothing else, given your declared experience over the years and your genuinely excellent cashback guide for dummies.
I am 100% behind all comments re the poor showing of this company's (in)action to back up Ben's written promises on this site, plus the obvious lack of decent customer service. We have no disagreement with each other here, and perhaps could jointly write "How to create decent PR for Dummies" to help them.
But I am of the opinion that, unlike other CPW companies who certainly seemed to wriggle out of cash back claims, this one seems to have a good record for settling cashbacks, albeit belatedly, and when an issue such as the mail delivery on Saturday that started this thread arose, the rep conceded that there was ambiguity and committed his company to accepting the claim. Now let's see if they put the money where Ben's mouth - or in this case keyboard - is.
Straight question for you, though - have you got any personal experience that would contradict my opinion in bold above in the preceding paragraph? You have dodged similar questions in the past. Let's see if you are able to answer it now.0 -
Not me doing the dodging. Yes, I have. Thus far they aren't as bad as E2Save BUT they make the same noises and (being the same group) it simply isn't good enough to wait until more evidence appears or (from the individual's point of view) they have a valid claim denied and can't prove it because they were lulled into a false sense that this company is honest so didn't cover themselves fully. I have actually been giving them the benefit of the doubt for a year - you might find some posts around last Autumn where I said as much - BUT I will never accept that any dealer can IGNORE it's own t&c. It is particulary unforgivable when they then proceed to deny a valid claim. The rep has never acknowledged the t&c but DOES dodge around them - THAT is my main concern. Any dealer flouting it's own t&c in that way reckons they can do whatever they like - and invariably proceed to do just that. Mobiles.co.uk has already practices that and now responds in a typical cpw way.
I wasn't referring to the Saturday arrival issue either. However, I am not at all sure that "Ben" accepted that there was "ambiguity" at all; he still ignores his own t&c in any case, BUT did say Saturday doesn't count - he only said the claim would be paid as an exception.0 -

ummm...could you please qualify this statement? you see, once again you tried to pick me up on a point. you clearly hadn't even read the thread that i wrote BEFORE the one that you tried to correct me on and that evolved out of a harmless part of the thread between me and Quentin...
Guysdad has summed things up very nicely. Silk and Quentin have shown some common sense and pointed out some very interesting facts - helpful ones.
You, my friend, are becoming nothing more than a parody, a caricature of all your good work. show me the conrtary and, i ask once again, qualify your words from above.0 -
Quentin - we got your points a long long time ago. Your constructive arguments are now just becoming repetitive and tedious, personal drum-banging. You and Mobile Junkie just seem to be 'hijacking' any thread to do with a CPW company. Yes, you do have a good argument with certain points but can't we please try to move on a little......
What do you want the guy to do? Sacrifice himself on a webcam to atone for every misdemeanour committed in the history of CPW.
Second thoughts.....don't answer that.
Most glad you accept Quentin's points as good and helpful. I won't bother answering someone as intelligent as you, who describes me as an "idiot". If I see you at a Mensa meeting sometime we can debate the issue, but it's most unlikely methinks. Nice to see who's the real person promoting personal abuse though!0 -
mj
there you go again! cherry picking pieces of information to support your childish arguments when they bear no relevance to the respective point.
it's interesting - you regularly seem to do this when you are asked to qualify something you have said.....
i don't think you need to fight quentin's battles, either. we still disagree but why not take a leaf out of his book and try to evolve the debate a little, eh? i tried to do that but, oh dear, then you come along and take yet another point out of context in order to, firstly, bang on about a subject that murdered most of us a good while back and, secondly, try to put me down.
your maturity is astounding....0 -
It is when compared to yours.0
