I like matzos as an alternative to ryvita when I've run out of bread. The stilton had been in my fridge for at least 2 months and was lush.

Wonder what channels I don't get now.

Our insurance has more than doubled on this renewal to £540, went online and the price for a new customer is £262, yet the woman I spoke to said the best price was £322. Told em to cancel and I'm now looking elsewhere :mad:

Right that's it. I am moving. I have had enough of people traipsing through the flat.
The letting agents/managing agents are complete and utter theiving, lying, manipulative t****rs. Good job their name begins with T.
I hate, hate, hate them.
They have lied to us on many, many ocassions.
As a result of them we have lost over 1000 pounds (a brand new futon which got ruined by mould, as well as pillows, shoes ,etc), had a washing machine so near the sink you could lean on it and had a risk of electrocution (being so near the sink) and had a wire going across the kitchen for 10 months, charged us for scaratches and dust, did the inventory for out first house without us so they could charge loads on check out. Promised us our new flat would have the lock fixed before we moved in, failed to reply to our official notice of complaint, failed to fix the boiler and change the wire to a heat resistant one (which I think is a fire risk) etc.
They refuse to sort our boiler out due to a dispute beteen landlord and installer yet they're sales agents phone us all the time with only a couple of hours notice to bring people around and now they want to bring people around without us here. Despite the fact I have now said no it would not surprise me if they came anyway.
Since we moved in 14 months ago we have had a new washing machine (old one broke), new coooker (door hinge broke), new flooring (muppets who installed washer didn't install properly and it leaked under lino for several months until downstairs noticed), new boiler (previous one got a hole in the bottom and we didn't notice until downstairs pointed it out again), a new front door lock as someone in the house had lost their keys and decided taking the front door lock apart was the way to go, a sewage leak, a stand pipe (outdoor tap thing leak), the boiler break down as installed incorrectly, etc. I have had enough of incomeptence. Hence why I don't trust them to do viewings without us here.

I am so mad- they are saying LL wants us out but they are putting in good words for us so we can stay (are they telling the truth who knows) and we are constantly trying to accomodate their stupid viewings.
P.S 3 out of the 8 flats are up for sale and we have had half a hedge cut for about 3 months - they cut it and left the debris and haven't come back to finish the job.
We know they will take us for every pennt when we move out and try for betterment - we went through the inventory throughly when we moved in and are prepared to lose a lot even though we will take pictures of everything when we move out. Am considering another formal complaint ( we hand delivered the original one and they still did nothing) and if that does nothing I may well consider reporting them to ARLA. Lying , theiving whatnots. Arggggh.

I've found quotes as little as £190, but scared to go with them because I've never heard of em

Tough one Sammy but personally I would not say a word. The chances are your SIL will spill to someone else before long and it will all come out anyway. That sort of information is too much of a burden for anyone to take alone, I couldn't do it.

I totally respect your FIL decision and frankly at 80 probably would decide to throw in the towel too, after all at that age all you have to look forward to is one body part or another clapping out.

So, I'd just sit tight on the information if I were you.
