I feel like a kid at Christmas today and am very excited about sorting stuff for the wedding. I have a bit of cleaning to do and then I am going to write a detailed list in chronological order of what we need to do.

I have made a list of things left to do, really all we have done so far is book people and get everyone's clothing apart from mine so if anyone can see anything I have obviously missed then please say.

Give measurements of kilt for Roy to shop
Fill out marriage forms
Check vaccinations and anti-malarials
May 15th See band perform
Book meeting with band and pay deposit
May 16th Give notice with registrar
Organise meeting with chaplain & get passport form signed ASAP
Organise meeting with photographer
Pick hymns, music, readings and vows for service
Get in touch with string quartet about music
Get wedding underwear
Chase up 1 day invite then order favours
Chase up 6 evening invites
Arrange hair trial/practice/ask about 1 extra for the day/check timings
Confirm make up timings for the day
Arrange dress fittings
Organise meeting with venue
Check when numbers/seating plan/menu choices need to be confirmed
wedding breakfast choices
Check who will be running the day
Ask for evening buffet choices
Non-alcoholic drinks package price/non-alcoholic alternatives

Sorry for the numerous updates, getting a little excited. We have just ordered our favours too!

It was OH dad's funeral yesterday and it was a wonderful day with my family to be. Everyone kept mentioning it only being "a few weeks" until the wedding. When OH and I thought about it we realised they are right, 8 weeks tomorrow! I have been so busy on a day count now I forgot about that, maybe I might freak out now with what we need to do! 26 things on the "to do" list 5 of which will be done by Monday and 3 in the last few days so not that much really but...8 weeks :eek:

got another rsvp yesterday- still got a few to come- deadline is 31st may so they have a while- its all of ohs family that havent sent them back lol

glad the funeral went ok aj

hopefully my bms dress should arrive 2day- and she can try it on again tonight

had an unbelieveable letter this morning from Cadburys,
our theme is cadburys purple and on our pick n mix buffet our paper bags are purple spots or purple stripes, (if this means nothing to you... check it out here http://www.spotsvstripes.com/default.aspx)

so we wrote to cadburys a few months ago and told them all this hoping they might send us a cheeky voucher for some chocs to go on the buffet and today we got a reply...

they said they would love to send us some spots v stripes games for the guests to play, and also some chocolate treats but would we be interested in them sending a photographer to take some pictures because they love our theme and think its a great story to share with their customers!!!
