I wish it was tomorrow...100 days tomorrow :D and then after that we are into double figures :j

Great about RSVPs, we had 2 given straight back to us after we had hand delivered the invites. I posted most of them yesterday and a lot of them have arrived as I have had texts saying how lovely they are :j

I'm getting all giddy!!! I've got this little bubble inside me that's fluttering away and making me uncontrollably excited!

Just had the proof through from the bottle company for the tags to be printed (sloe gin wedding favours in little bottles with corks)- am hopefully collecting tomorrow night as the seller is local.

OH is just creating a label for the rock sticks to send off to another local company. They are colour matching the rock and we're adding our personal label (well, we did meet at the seaside.... actually a drunken Christmas Eve, in a nightclub, at the seaside!).

Keep having thoughts about the teeniest details- confetti cones, basket for cones, punching out confetti, reprinting evening invites as I forget to deselect 'shrink to fit' and they are a bit too small for the card.....

    Hey ladies,

    How are we all doing?

Things are moving on nicely with me...

Got my invite stuff ordered, and some of it has arrived, so I will be having a play with that with my bridesmaid on saturday.

My dress has arrived from China and its absolutely gorgeous. Really really pleased, it was exactly what I wanted.

I've lost 1stone 5lbs so far on my diet :A And my dress sort of fits, lol! Am aiming to lose another stone, and it should be just perfect at that. I'm on target tho, have been losing at 1.5lbs per week and still have 16 weeks to go. Finding the diet fairly easy. Not doing owt daft, just cutting down on naughty things, eating healthier and smaller portions, and exercising more.

Ordered the mens suits this morning, so thats another job ticked off :D

Next jobs are invites and sorting a DJ, which I have been a bit slack over doing cos I had a quote which was what I wanted, only I never booked at the time, and now I can't get in touch with the guy. Serves me right for being slack tho :o

What are you girls all doing for your hen party? My H2B has been sorting out his stag do, and I'd never put much thought into mine. I don't fancy just a pub crawl, but I don't know exactly what I do fancy. Have done all the usual blackpool / newcastle type trips before, and its just not me anymore. Am 30 this year, and I dunno, drinking on its own as an activity is no longer appealing (gosh I am getting old

I looked up alton towers prices, to stop in the hotel, but reckon thats gonna work out very pricey, specially when you start adding on food (at their prices!) etc on to the bill as well. Did think about spa or the races, but can't seem to find a spa thats a reasonable price near me (I live in a small town, which is within 30miles of leeds/hull/york/doncaster etc) If we did do spa or the races then it would probably involve hotels as well. Hmmm, just don't know what I fancy really!! Alton towers seemed like the most fun option so far, just would like it to be magically lots cheaper, lol! :rotfl:

I don't have a specific price or budget in mind, just want value for money for what I am getting I suppose. Them spa things seem to be £25 to use the spa facilities, ie the swimming pool. And that just seems a bit much. I've never been to one tho, so maybe there is more to it than that.

What a difference a day and a sleepless night makes to a girls planning!!

I decided on a bunk barn in the yorshire dales.

Get there on the fri night, everyone takes some buffet type food so we can have a party tea.

Then on saturday we are going pony trekking, 45mins for £8 each.

Sat night, there is a good local pub within a 10min walk of the bunk barn, so we are going there for a meal and a vino or 3.

My little girl (5) can come too, and its mum and mum-in-law friendly too.

We can go for walks, play games, sit outside in the sunshine, do little or do lots. My future SIL has offered to do a little belly dancing teaching (she is super) if anyone wants to, or we could paint each others nails or anything. People can then join in on as little or as much as they like....

Found and have provisionally booked a place which is £500 for 2 nights exclusive use. So if 20 people come, then its only £25 per night.

Have got 8 definate yes's so far - whoop whoop!!

Am very excited by it all now. :T

16 weeks tomorrow to the wedding - eeeeek! :j

I had a delivery at lunchtime, of 100 miniature favour bottles! 'Giddy' is an understatement! I want to decant the sloe gin that is brewing, RIGHT NOW!
Guess I'll just have to finish slicing the evening invites and sticking bits together- although I have played around with the tag, putting ivory ribbon on and making sure it looks ok!

Next job is to order the rock, make sure I send them the label we want putting on and then send the fabric sample so they can colour match as best possible! 17 weeks tomorrow..... :)

Into double figures, 98 days, 14 weeks today. Had another 2 rsvps yesterday and I know of some others who are coming but haven't said yet.

Our next jobs are to put our marriage notice in after the 9th and sort out the money to pay for our honeymoon by the 19th.

I can't believe we aren't doing much else, went out last night and people keep asking how things are going, my sister wants to help but we don't even have anything to do. Next month we meet out florist to plan stuff :j

Really pleased just took my wedding dress to the same shop I purchased my BM dresses from for alterations and she has quoted max £35! The shop I bought my dress from said £150 starting point!! :j

Wedding flowers quote is now down to £480 - I'm still not happy but as he does the flowers already at the venue I kinda get 3 additional large vases which match my colour scheme included - if i go independent then unlikely to match.

    Not long now!

Wish I had waited and booked my alterations elsewhere as I think they are probably fleecing me but I got them for half price when I bought the dress which is better than nothing. I know so many people that would do it for next to nothing. The only thing that makes me relax is they are more likely to bring it in earlier to get them done, if I was just picking it up then knowing my luck it would come into the shop the week before. I must admit it worries me that you are already getting it altered, I have no idea when mine is coming into the shop!
