Another job ticked off here- bridesmaids jewellery! Bargain- see my thread!! Thought I'd post it there so everyone got the heads up!
I think they are all sorted now- except for their gift which will be a pearl bracelet I've seen and a charm to go on it.

Prototype invite now made up for ma and pa to proof read tomorrow- job for tonight is to get the outer invite card cut and attach the ribbons (although that may have to wait until tomorrow as we're taste testing reception drink fizz again tonight- last time!)

We have just ordered our invitations and RSVPs. All of a sudden I feel very nervous.

We've just had a letter to come for our Marriage Preparation course at the church at the beginning of April, I'm quite looking forward to it as the 'day' has taken over and we've had a few little niggly arguments recently so it'll be nice to focus on the future instead, even if I am a bit nervous about meeting the other couples!

we have been to the first of three meetings (2 group meetings where you watch a dvd and look at/fill out a booklet, and then the last one is the 2 of us at the vicarage)
we were really excited to do something about the marriage after working so hard on the wedding but we found it so negative!
it was all about problems like not apprieciating each other, having affairs, taking each other for granted, having arguments, not communicating etc

none of it applied to us and it felt really wrong, almost like the dvd and booklet just assumed that everyone gets lazy and doesnt make an effort after the first 6 months, and the bloke in the dvd had a weird american welsh accent which was quite distracting! lol

im not looking forward to the next one :(

Aw bless you, that's nat what I had in mind either! We've been told to expect two sessions and that we'll be supported alongside other couples by a couple who have been married for a long time, other than that I'm not going to raise my expectations! Just preparing for that has caused us to bring up some questions/interesting issues that we've been discussing together so I don't know that we'll get much more out of the sessions, but it's all part of it!

So hope we see that same DVD though, I'll look out for the accent!

    Just checking in!

Bridesmaid shopping was lovely last saturday - first shop and dress they tried on was the one! http://venusbridal.com/bridesmaids/bella-maids/D405

Shop price was £195 each plus alterations!

Really chuffed after calling around different stores a shop quoted me £136 plus 10% discount so £123 each!! :D

Just need to meet with the florist Saturday and also choose/ order the cake.
OH has sorted the DJ & suits.

Everything is really coming together now!
    :D

Think I have decided how I want my hair for the wedding, have tried some ideas out which look ok even with my limited skills. Might try with a ton of hairspray before washing it next.

OH was quite shocked earlier to find that I only have my dress and haven't even thought about the other things I need. I am hoping that in about a month most shops will have wedding stuff in abundance and then it will be easier.

i have had a few wobbles over the last week-
worrying about my dress fitting---- i have booked onto a 3 day bootcamp at the end of the month- so hoping this will help shred the lbs that just dont want to go anywhere

then started silly thoughts about getting married at 4pm- starting regretting it as i want it to be all day and worried it will go to fast-- but luckly my oh brought me back to reality by reminding me i wanted it later in the day- and it means i can relax, enjoy the day getting ready and spending time with my bridesmaids

still got to sort out my bms dress fittings- they are in my wardrobe ready for them to try on- i know they are going to need alterating- do they sort this or is that my 'job'??

still got to work out what i want doing with my hair- got a few pics- just need to find a hairdresser to do a trial

still need underwear- maybe only knickers-- or if i still have love handles after the bootcamp then i want a bodyshaper- so will hold off buying this

still havent decided about hen do

invites are hopefully ready next weekend- so can get them sent out soon
