Well... that's Monday done! Only 25 more Mondays until w-day!:D
Tonight is being dedicated to invite packs- design [STRIKE]1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ..... [/STRIKE]27!
We've left them alone for a fair few weeks, and now I'm not sure about one of the fonts we're using! Deadline of February half term to have them finalised and ready to print... tick, tock, tick, tock!0 -
We gave notice on friday, and got back all the info from the venue today, wow that was quick, as we are getting married in a different area than to what we live.
I think I may have found a dress/ or one that I like anyway, its from monsoon, so I will keep my fingers crossed for that.
I have given up making a button bouquet but now onto making a ribbon rose bouquet now, not going to bad, but looks much easier on you tube lol! I do make a lot of crafty things anyway, and love new challenges.
Also full of cold this week, just not what I need, too much too do!0 -
Hi everyone. I'm a newbie, can I join?
I am getting married on 29th July (eeek, only 185 days!!) in a civil ceremony in a local hotel.
My theme is fuschia and black & white zebra pattern. So far, I have a venue, I've recently ordered my dress from America, booked the photographer, decided on the cake, paid for a chocolate fountain and have half my centrepieces. I now have to try and find the rest of my centrepieces (didn't realise they were going out of stock when I bought the first six), some bridesmaids dresses in black, some zebra print shoes for myself, a florist and decide what I want groomy and boys to wear!
Hope everyone else is more organised than me.0 -
hi! welcome and congrats!
sounds fab!- you do sound organised.
what about:
wedding rings?, honeymoon?, invites, bridal party presents?, videographer?, evening entertainment?, hair and make up?, chair covers?, are you having a sitdown meal or buffet?
have fun planning

Thanks.
I've seen a wedding ring I like but it is on the internet so we are going to go shopping instead so I can try a few styles on.
We are honeymooning in Alaska in October so don't need to book that yet, plus we are staying with my best friend so only really have to book the flights.
I had a go at making some invites before christmas but I realise now that I want a pocketfold instead so just need to buy some (ebay probably) and get cracking with them. I did send out save the date magnets in people's christmas cards so they could all keep it free.
I haven't got a clue about bridal party presents, haven't given it much thought, hmmnn
No videographer, can't fit one into the budget but I'm not too upset.
My best friend is doing my hair and make up, she is American and has been in many pageants so knows all about looking glamorous! I trust her 100%
I'm meeting with the wedding planner at the hotel soon, last time I saw her she didn't know if they would be providing chair covers or not. I hope they do as their chairs are cherry red and would clash with my theme.
We are having a carvery. No starters but guests are having canapes while we do the photos, then a carvery meal. No desserts but there will be plenty of goodies - cupcakes, chocolate fountain and a pick 'n' mix table (I have lots of different size Kilner jars, zebra stripe candy bags and I've made some ribbon tags for each jar).
Phew, just realised that I am actually a lot more organised than I thought. There was me thinking I hadnt done much yet!0 -
sounds great!

I'd definitly recommend going and trying some wedding rings on before choosing one. I picked one off the internet and was sure it was what I wanted. Then happened to go to a jewellers in town just to have a look and found I really hated the style I had chosen when it was on my finger. Ended up choosing a completely different ring (which was cheaper too:D)
Everyone seems to be organised! I'm currently trying to decide on a side tiara. Have got it down to two choices. Might decide and buy this weekend.Declutter 100 items in Jan 11/1000 -

I think this is quite amazing, we have been engaged 4 weeks and we have managed to get exactly who we want. We are deciding in a final guest list at the mo as we are considering changing some of it but that is the weekend job.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
