Magic Bullet - convince me I need it

  • I bought one from QVC and sent it back within the 30 days because it wasn't really any use to me - the demo shows them making salsa and stuff but in reality it doesn't chop it just mushes up stuff and you can't get a nice fine chopped effect. It is okay for crushing ice and making smoothies though I must admit, but that alone didn't justify the price tag for me. If I had got it in the QVC shop for £19.99 though I would say it was good value.

Thanks to you all for your replies. I did get around to looking on ebay etc to try to find it for less. I'll try QVC as well. If I can get one for under £20 then I'll give it a go. I am such a sucker for gadgets but have a small kitchen so everything has to earn its keep!!!

How do you crush ice in it? Any time I have tried I still end up with huge bits of ice in it as well as the crushed stuff.

Found it Ok think I paid around £20 for it though.

I would love this to be honest :) My friend has one and when I lived with them temporarily i fell in love with her magic bullet :) I think it depends on what you expect from it to be honest but it's great for sauces, soups, summer drinks and smoothies :) If you buy it with that in mind I think they're great :)

Now where the heck did you all find them for £20!!!!!!!

..chances are it could have been yours that I bought. Basically the QVC shop resells the returns, or at least those in decent enough nick to be resold.

The shop's at Birchwood, Warrington - basically it's pot luck what's there on a given day, and you just rummage through lots of boxes to find things of interest. Can be quite fun trying to work out what the devil half of the things are for. Once you've been there, you'll never buy anything from TV shopping again because there'll be the nagging doubt that it'll turn up at the QVC shop in a few weeks at a 10th of the price...

Ive got a magic bullet and use it nearly everyday. I think its great but you do have to master how to work it so you dont end up with mush!!
I got mine for £20 at a warehouse called Collins. I dont know if its only Nottingham that has a Collins Warehouse but its not a bad place to find kitchen gadgets like that.

I wouldnt part with mine! It earned its place in my kitchen on the first day I got it. :D

Has anyone used a magic bullet mixer/chopper thing? Are they any good?

    This thing...

I've seen one for about £12.50, are they worth it?

    Cheers.

I have not used one , but seen all the adverts for it on the Shopping channel and thought it looked great!

The cheapest I have seen them is in Woolworths for £39.99. This one has a lot of assec. - Where did you see it at £12.50 - may have to ask Santa for one!!

Yes, I have one similar brought from Sainsbury's £13.50 I think. Very good, great for chopping up veg really small to disguise in Kid's food! Also takes up less room than a food processor. Also grates cheese, whips cream and great for smoothies, mine came with cups to make the drinks in.
