OK, so i am going to put that fortnight behind me as one of the worst ever and draw a line under it.
Update alert!
Good news......
Brother is recovering well and was very chatty and laughing at OH's stories when we went to visit on Thursday. Yesterday he managed to get out of bed and walk to the loo with help and is able to watch a bit of TV. His swallow is improving and he says the numbness is getting better each day.
So far OH's cheque hasnt bounced, it has been 4 days so I hope that means that it will be OK.
I am feeling much better after being sent home from work yesterdayI plan to do as little as possible over the weekend.
Money news........
In an attempt to take my mind off things I have managed to earn £120 extra this week in Mystery shops and matched betting. Christmas savings account stands at £346 not including the MS money.
Today I shall check my banking and see how much I can throw at the debts this month, I would really like to pay Mum some money back.
OH and boys have been contributing more in the home and things are running quite smoothly at the moment.

Thanks Sammy, it means alot that you concentrated so hard to type that......and didnt make too many mistakes:kisses3::rotfl:
I have just heard that they are sending my Brother home today:eek: the hospital is bursting at the seams so I suppose he is the "most well" on the ward so off he goes........I just hope he doesnt try to do too much at home with the 2 girls and the dogs, he is such a good Father and husband so I know he would push himself to do things if he saw his wife struggling:o
Today will be spend sorting things out for the week including a food shop as we are off to SIL next weekend for our Christmas visit:rolleyes:
I am going to buy myself a nice new pair of PJ's as her house is always blummin freezing.
List for today....- Iron only things that need it
- meal plan for week
- food shopping
- put bedding back on beds
- 6 mile walk
- list 10 books on Ebay
- homework for Tuesday
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
If you've got a Dunnes store near you they had some nice fleecy pj's for about £5/6. And lovely furry socks, two pairs for £1.50, I was very tempted but don't think the pj's went up to my size. And it was still warm when I saw them so didn't bother with the socks, will do next time I'm there though!
Really glad to hear that about your brother, they must think he's well enough to go home. I know that there's a lot of press about them kicking people out before they're ready, but when I had my liver biopsy they wanted to send me home and I explained that there was no-one to look after me so they kept me in, so I'm sure they wouldn't let him go home if it wasn't safe for him to. And maybe being around his family will be less stressful than a hospital ward and help him recover quicker?Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Sadly no Dunnes store near us, I decided just to buy some new slippers for myself and OH and we shall take some long sleeved PJs that we already have, and dressing gowns:D
I think my brother will feel better at home at least he can have a comfortable bed to recover in.
Most of list is done except for homework, never been good at studying:rolleyes:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Being at home's always better. Luckily I've almost always been an out patient, but I hate having to stay in, it's really hard to sleep on wards, especially if someone's a snorer or needs checking every half an hour. The food'll be better too.
Good luck with the homework! I need to catch up on what I missed at last week's Italian. My next OU course starts soon, I'm determined to do better this year, I'm going to try and go to all the tutorials, and I'm going to schedule in when I'm studying, and do it properly. Not the usual 'clear the day the essay's due in and do a months worth of work on one day'.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Your approach sounds very much like mine, although I do produce my best writing under pressure. This home work is pure accountancy so I guess I can do it bit by bit without needing to get into "the flow".
Good luck with the Italian and the Masters course, one day I shall do a course that I actually enjoy:rolleyes:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
