I work best under pressure too, but last year it got silly. Essays were due in by midnight and I was hitting the send button at ten to, when I was too tired to be doing decent work. Mind you, it's easy for me to say it'll be different this year, harder to actually do it.

Beanie, I know at our place some learners have signed a direct debit for monthly fees payments and when the benefits proof comes in they refund what has been paid, not sure if you could do the same:confused:

I dont know how Bookie is so patient either........I would be camping outside the offices by now.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Aww Beanie, that's pants. Is it OU? I've never needed to get proof, just gone in and they've stamped the bit on the form.

I don't think Bookie's patient, just that she's been ground down by the system, it happens to everyone in it at some point, they depend on that happening to get away with their incompetence.

Yeah, I'm on housing benefit, so I get the housing office to stamp the form to say I'm getting it (or you could go to the jobcentre for other means tested benefits), then into the local OU office, luckily that's really closeby. They do all the photocopying and checking and send it off for me.

If you're already an OU student you might be able to start the course a couple of weeks late, I've heard of people being able to do that, I guess it depends how full the course is.
