Last night was a very sad night for me and the end of an era in our lives at home.........

Tigger our 18 year old cat died in the car on her way to the vets after suddenly becoming very ill.........I cannot believe she has gone so quickly, she was fine earlier.

So upset, she was the 2nd of 2 cats that we got as kittens when we got our very first house together. Tess died when she was 16 and now Tigger has gone aged 18. They both had wonderful spoiled rotten lives.

I am going to miss her so.

We have brought her back home to bury in our garden, we shall plant a tree with pink blossom for our 2 girls.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I'm really sorry to hear that Lou, it's really hard losing a family pet, especially one that's been part of the family for so long. Hugs x

  • Awww - big hugs coming your way. It comes as such a shock when you lose an animal suddently regardless of age doesn't it. We lost the dog and the younger of our two cats within a few weeks of one another back in 2002. Takes so long to get used to them not being under your feet. It quite honestly sounds as though your cats were as loved as they could have been though and lead the most wonderfully happy lives - you can be extremely proud of that.

We put our Buster down in Jan. We had a last night with him, I got pished, cried, took videos of him and everything. He really was part of the family. When our other cat dies we will put both of their ashes in a plant. Hope you're ok Lou. x

    Thanks Len and Essex

It was really strange to come home from a weekend away to no Tigger, my mind did flit while away to hoping she was OK, force of habit I guess:o

We had a lovely weekend with OH sister in Wigan, went for an Indian meal and saw a group last night, spent far too much though:rolleyes:

Another 2 hectic weeks ahead then half term:j I will get my backdated payrise then too, no sign of the extra pay award yet but I have been told it is being processed..........its taken over 8 weeks now so hopefully a decision will be made this week but I am not holding my breath.

I am going to treat myself to a new winter coat when I get my back money as the last one I bought was about 9 years ago:o my red mac is starting to get a bit chilly now.

    Nothing much else to report.
