Out. Of. Interest.
Just how many times have I actually insulted anyone who posts on the fashions threadS?
The nastiness that has revealed itself, along with the group mentality (ooh, let's all ignore.... fingers in ears - la, la, la...) in terms of troll, idiot, Billy-no-mates, lonely, insecure etc. etc. says a lot more about those saying it. I did not like the number of threads - it seemed like something of an onslaught onto a forum where the topic was new; that was - and is - my point (my opinion on the content is precisely and simply that, my opinion). OS and DFW have daily threads that are added to - why that couldn't happen with Fashion is beyond me.
I have no interest in insulting anyone individually - as you have the seeming support of one another (of course, those who have (maturely) put me on ignore won't know I am saying this....), you are no doubt feeling some sense of self-righteousness. If that's what makes you tick, you all belong together and I certainly have no place here (which is fine).0 -

Hey, you missed my last post. I'm not ignoring you. I don't see why you have an objection to people putting you on ignore - at least it stops the constant bickering.0 -

I didn't miss your last post, I didn't really see how a reply would help matters - as nothing I have to say is "interesting". By commenting that various people have added GTC to their ignore list, I am merely acknowledging that I know they have (which is daft if you think about it) or are at least making noises about doing it...
The odd thing that happens then though is the ignorers don't really have a full picture of what I have said but may see responses, so any interjection from them can sometimes look a bit daft. To me, it's the equivalent of fingers in ears and la-la-ing.
And doesn't bother me at all.
In the midst of all this, my original point has been lost so I repeat for the benefit of those who think personal insults are the way to go: I have no issue with the fact that fashion is discussed (although I don't think this is the place) - it is/was the number of threads taking over a board where it previously hadn't been discussed at all.0 -
Well, I think I've done enough to try resolve the situation. I created the suggestions thread to get an idea of what the majority would be happy with, but it seems to have degenerated into bickering, which I just cannot stand. I'm fine with a few harmless jibes (this is the internet, after all) but constant bickering is childish.
I'll leave it at that and let someone else make the decisions.0 -

I don't want an apology from anyone. I set out to find a solution that suited EVERYONE, not just the 'fashion mob'. I think a weekly thread could be the way to go and that's my last thought on the matter! :rolleyes:0
