Luckily I could just snip them out with no worries. Although I was only 5 when shoulder pads reigned supreme, even I can remember the horror!!
Lol I had nightmares after watching Dynasty, seeing Joan Collins with those huge shoulder pads:eek:........... scared me more than Dr Who ever could :rotfl:total airhead, total bimbo, very superficial:D0 -
Good morning everyone:j
Just about to hit the coffee pot on what is a dull and dreary Monday morning here!
Lots of ebay parcels to wrap and post this morning, then more inroads into clearing the study, which didn't get very far yesterday:o
I am wearing my M&S faded jeans.
White silky M&S vest (these are really nice for layering, they were from the lingerie dept £7 for 2 black and white) , but they are stretchy lycra and because they are silky, whatever you wear on top slips over nicely and doesn't cling...more slimming and streamlining methinks. I wonder if they make them in different colours?? The back has a slightly higher neckline, so you can wear them back-to-front too, depending on the outfit!!
White linen Monsoon shirt/tunic (last year's sale)
Big chunky orange wooden bead necklace
Gold toe posts, just for nipping out of the car to the P.0.
Dressed up or dressed down today? All ages, shapes and sizes are more than welcome to join our daily clothes-related chat!!

Hello all; good weekends I hope.
OK, down to business. Drum roll please...
As threatened, I am wearing the orange shoes.
Now whilst that earth-shattering piece of news sinks in I shall go over the rest of my outfit. I'm smart today as I've been seeing clients this morning.
Grey Kilgour suit (this was the charity shop bargain of the century. I wandered in to a charity shop in Manchester and saw that they had a few suits. I picked out the one I liked and it was £15. It was only when I got it home and looked up the name on the inside that I realised what it was - Kilgour is a Saville Row tailor so if I'd have bought it new I would have paid hundreds - if not thousands). It's lovely - I had to have it altered slightly, and dry cleaned, but all in all it cost me less than £50.
White Ted Baker shirt - £29 in the House of Fraser sale a couple of years ago.
Aforementioned Jeffery West orange shoes - I think they were about £150 but they were a present so I'm not sure.
Plus a splash of Issey Miyake l'eau d'Issey Pour Homme.moonbabe58 wrote: »Am oddly kind of liking the shoulder pad thing
Me too. Nothing wrong with a good shoulder pad (well, one on its own is slightly problematic. Best in pairs I think.)
Besides, I'm only little, I need the help.
Liking the gold theme that some of you have going on today. Nothing cheers me up like precious metals on a Monday."I'm not a one-trick pony. I'm not a ten-trick pony. I'm a whole field of ponies - and they're all literally running towards this job."

Peace and love, Gang!
I'm back and all loved-up from The Big Chill. What a wonderful time! Great music, comedy, lively discussion groups and yoga classes, beautiful people, warm sunshine, Kopparberg cider, exotic veggie food, no Billy-no-mates making sarky comments on this board could possibly upset me.
Some great sounding outfits on here today. I haven't had a shower in days and am seriously skanky - my hair makes Amy Winehouse's look positively well-groomed but if I stop now I'll only doze off.
Grey mini vest dress with cheetah motif (ex-TopShop factory overmake stall £4.99)
Black Broderie-Anglaise bikini top (Indian flea market about 5p)
Grey and black leopard print leggings (New Look kid's dept £1.50 in the sale)
Black TopShop longline Angora Cardi (50p car boot sale)
Vintage 1980's leather pirate ankle boots (25p car boot sale)
Gazillions of wood, enamel and brass bangles (Indian street markets and car boots)
Indian silver & turquoise tribal rings
Turquoise enamel disc earrings (80p Bay liquidation sale)
Electric blue crochet rasta-style beenie hat (25p charity shop)
Have a happy monday, dudes!0 -
