L-L really nice to see you back on here, don't you dare worry about the flying. Just pop on when you feel like it. Greenbee's idea sounded very good, something I would like to adopt myself.

Morning All
I'm shattered this morning and the toothfairy didn't arrive last night so DD is not too happy. Mind you I think she was still awake when I went to bed last night having had a sleep in the car on the way home. I completely forgot though as it came out in the car on the way home and she put in under her pillow as soon as she came through the door!
DS has got a hospital appointment at 10.40 so we'll probably leave about 10ish. Going to have a bath now and see if I feel anymore awake after that.
Have a good day all

Hi LL, good to hear from you hun. xx
Toots hope your soreness goes.
Pigpen, good luck at hospital tomorrow.
Hope everyone else is ok, Triker xxxx
And you have dispensation to post and not fly too... I hope Pigpen is checking up and making sure you're not overdoing things! How are you feeling/fedupandskint wrote: »Flying is not the most important thing in the world all of the time, being with those you love is
Well said... and this applies to all of us! We're flying so that we can enjoy our time with our families and friends without being worried about the mess/dirt - we shouldn't be flying instead of spending time with them! Mind you, L-L, you might want to point your OH here if he needs help with the housework!Morning All

I'm sure we've had discussions about the tooth fairy's reliability before... I'm sure you can come up with an acceptable excuse (maybe she's on holiday???), but I'm beginning to get the impression that she probably drinks too much on weekends and is generally a bit slack about turning up on time
Right... must get dressed as I need to go to the shop for yogurt so I can have breakfast before heading off to work for a day filled with lovely meetings :rolleyes:0 -
Morning All

Pigpen - hope you have the best possible outcome today
Toots - glad to hear your infection is improving, take care
LL - take care, thinking of you
Pigpen, Toots, Soappie - thanks for the lists etc, am in this week in a managerial capacity - ie OH can you do that now please (if you want it done before your Mum arrives on Wed!!). Still on with the RofDs and hope to have one cleared if not totally sorted by lunchtime, otherwise where will the aforementioned guest sleep.....
Wonder what time the Council starts answering the phone, need to arrange pickup of sofa which is now on the drive (getting rained on), it proved too difficult to try to chop down ourselves to take to the tip. Also need to try to book the car in for a service tomorrow. Bit stook on what I can do until OH gets up but I'll go and grab a box from RofD.
Hope you all have a good weekDon't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board0 -
Lady L as MumofJust2 has said I would try to get the bills in DH name (or at least joint names) and make sure they are paid by direct debit then when you are both stressed they are being paid. Not morbid at all - but sensible.
Why not write down, in a notebook, some of your special memories of when the kids were small and of you and Dh before kids etc- something for them to look back on one day.
But you're not being morbid. I know someone whose mum had cancer and she and her DH kept it from the kids; they never knew how ill their mum was or what the prognosis was despite the fact that they were teenagers/early 20s and the eldest was married with a child. The upshot of this was repercussions that lasted a while. That is my yardstick now for telling the truth as far as possible. You cannot protect anyone from a sudden loss but when someone is very ill I personally believe their children should be told.
Please come on here to moan and grumble at us when you can - both you and Toots are in our thoughts very often. XXX

I am exhausted this morning..... think my weekend is catching up with me!I do however still have this stinking cough and cold, which isnt helping, but hey ho!
Hi cbg!! Im glad you had a good time, Im ok.....still here anyway.Still unemployed though - no luck whatsoever. Im being declined for even basic admin jobs, but am still applying for some others, so just need to keep my fingers crossed and wait and see. Im going between being really on the ball, and getting organised and on top of things, to really bad days when I have severe black dog, lose all motivation and CBA.
My house is suffering for it too! Ive had a letter saying im getting HB and CTB but only from the 3rd August.....I need to submit an appeal and ask them to reconsider and backdate it. So thats my job for today! (as well as the kitchen obviously!)
Im constantly having conversations with companies, about payment holidays etc, and told thats fine, and then getting letters about charges and reminded to make the payment!! More bl00dy hassle i dont need!!! But Im getting there, babysteps, babysteps! :rotfl:
Ive yet to hear about any money coming in from the job centre, although they were the first people to acknowledge they had all the information they needed.....
LL - glad to see you posting hun. xx
As for a file for hubby, get a ringbinder with a load of dividers and have one section for each room or family member (if appropraite) and in that section you can put all the bumf and blurb you need to. As its a ringbinder you can always open and add to sections again when you see fit, or when you remember something else you wanted to add
I have a concertina box file for all my paperwork etc, but then there is only me and the little one, so thats big enough for us (or will be when I clear out the out of date carp I dont need to keep anymore  ) Depending on how much you have, the girls idea of a cabinet may be better for you.
In the ringbinder, you can also add sections for things like, Doctors, Dentists, List of birthdays, other important dates, basically all the stuff that you remember for him!!!
HTH xx
Pigpen - good luck and ~~vibes~~ as required for the hospital today xx
Toots, angel.....Please, Please PLEASE take it easy. Im so glad youre back and home and that the Antib's are working for you! I hope the house is coming along nicely too - but please dont be tempted to overdo anything! Or i will be forced to take drastic action.... (not sure what, but i will think of something!)
Anyway, just in case I forgot to tell you - Charlie Taylors were super about your appointments and said just to book again whenever you are feeling up to it. xx
Triker - hope your ok pet xx
Am going to declutter a cup of tea first....Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Morning gang ** says a sheepish Tag who has been AWOL for ages:o**
Really, really must try and get back on the wagon this week. I have been flying, of sorts, over the last few weeks. But not up to my usual standard.:o
Little Bruv is over today to 'do' the bathroom for me. Tile round the bath, skim the walls, build me a new sink cupboard thingy, box in the piping behind the toilet and board up one of the two doors I have that lead to the bathroom. Plus I'm hoping he'll skim a bit in the kitchen where I've taken down some of the awful and I mean awful tiling. It's just up to me to re floor and paint everything once he's done that.
I think that lot will help to motivate me with the flying once it's all done and looks pretty. I find it very disheartning cleaning something, that quite frankly, looks carp both before and after I've cleaned IYSWIM.
Hope all are well and catch you in a bit.0 -

Magnificent Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining area
Level One
Declutter floors and work surfaces!
Wipe worksurfaces
Wash up after tea - done first load
Level Two
Clean filters and detergent drawers of large appliances
Sweep the floor
Level Three
Clean out the grotty fridge
S&S the hob & oven
Extras- list 2 items on ebay
- open 5 items of post and shred/file as necessary (so so bad at doing this)
- [STRIKE]clear 10 items from sofa[/STRIKE] and cleared yesterdays washing as well
- clear 10 items from dining table
- clear 10 items from coffee table
- 15 mins gardening (probably weeding as it is dreadful)
[STRIKE]Ring WTC people[/STRIKE]
Post prescription exemption form
do a food shop
I have rung the WTC people and I know that it is early but I am sure that if they correct the figures to include DD for the year it will affect the figure but the girl would not have it that it would change the payment.
So - DD for April to August
DS for April to March
= payment of £161 reducing to £30 (yikes)per month
after changes
DD April to March
DS April to March
= I think payment will be £161 or therabouts per month
She thought payments would stay at £30????
Please tell me I am not totally thick??
Right I am off to change over the stuff in the TD and to chivvy DS into wiping up before he catches the bus and then I had better get ready for work..... yuk
I also rescued a butterfly that Letty had caught - thankfully it flew off.
