    I've just remembered an incident that amused me when I went to town today. It was hot and muggy there. I had to go to one particular large department store to get some perfume for NN. I'd gone to other shops in the 'burbs first hoping to get it and failed.

    When I eventually got to the town centre, having battled through the holiday traffic and having to park miles away because the closest car parks were full, by the time I got to the perfume counter I was frazzled, impatient and my fringe was stuck to my forehead with sweat. I was dressed in jeans and a casual shirt with skanky but extremely comfortable sandals on my feet and I had no make up on. I have chipped nail varnish on my fingernails from last weekend because I haven't bothered to clean it off yet. It didn't help that I had to wait five minutes before I managed to get the attention of a sales person.

    As I finally paid for the item the assistant asked me all simperingly "Do you have your beauty card for the points?" I looked her straight in the eye and said "Do I look like I have a beauty card?". I could see her bite her tongue and pause a moment before smoothly replying "well, you might use it for your perfume purchases"
    :rotfl::rotfl:
    It amused me anyway

    Soappie that's funny!

    I've put away dry washing and got the wet washing out of the machine and put it next to the airer.

    Also done some walking while watching Outnumbered - that show is so funny! I decided this morning I need to start building up my steps again, and am quite pleased as I managed to do 1200 steps straight off with no problems. That's quite a lot for me all at once! I feel quite good now too!

    Evening everyone. Just thought I'd pop in to say hello :o

    My house is in total uproar at the moment. The bathroom is unusable apart from the toilet and has been since Tuesday:eek: I have half a tonne of plaster being trodden everywhere:eek: But, Litttle Bruv came over again last night to spend the whole weekend getting the bathroom straight for me. Well, that was the plan, until he and I ended up in the pub until 2.00am this morning. Then spent the whole of today wondering how we could feel so rough when we'd only had 3 drinks.He said we only had 3 pints, but I think it was more like 3 whole barrels of lager between us:o:D
    So wasted day really as we spent most of it dozing, drinking water, eating and just generally fledging. I'm feeling better now though. I think it has something to do with the MD's we had for tea:D

    Still, we had a fab night and in view of the fact that it is looking likley that he will be sent back to Afghanistan shortly I make the most of any time we have together.

    Hoping to be back on the flywagon again soon. But there's not much point flying properly as it were, because of all the chaos upstairs.

    Hope your all well. Hugs etc where needed.

    Oh and keep an eye on Valli for me. She's gone all OCD with Word Hunt on FB!!:rotfl::rotfl:Caught her there the other night!!:rotfl::rotfl:

    Right off to bed to read my book. Catch you all soon.
