Morning everyone, not a happy bunny today :( My lovely 2 month old kettle blew up yesterday evening, and tripped the fuse box so many times it was unbelievable. It didn't help that I didn't know what it was and kept putting the kettle on to boil, and everytime I did that the fuse went in the box. So I had to keep traipsing out to the garage, pull out the doors (that we are still waiting to be changed over downstairs) and slither into the garage past the DH's car and junk..only for the damn thing to go off again when I get indoors. In the end I left the garage door open for everytime I went in and out.. DH came home from work and wasn't happy I had left the door open and launched into a bit of a moan..grr!! I wish he had let me say something first before jumping to conclusions..lol. Oh well!!

On another note I had a lovely evening last night as I went out to a friends house for a body shop party and had a really nice night and got home late. Although forgot about the kettle, and went and plugged it in for a cuppa and blew the fuse box again..oops!! Not a good thing to do at nearly midnight and DH is fast asleep..hehehe But DH is going to buy a new kettle today, I've reserved the one I want at Argos and told him he has to get this one as it illuminates and matches my kitchen, and my friend has one and she raves about it.. He's not impressed as it is even more expensive than the one that has broke..lol So I have to send the dud one back to Amazon and get a replacement...oh joy!!

Oooh "friend" paid lodgercats vet bill, well most of it. I got a very curt text this morning to say the money was in and I could draw on it straightaway. Somehow I think this friendship has run its course, shame really as we have known each other since we were 13yrs and have been through thick and thin together.:(

Yikes better get dressed as DH will be back with the dogs and he wants to go food shopping..lol

    *hugs* to everyone :)

Morning all, am trying to catch up with the posts and tbh apart from doing the dailys and some random tasks from each list not much flying has been done in my house this week . The kid's dad txt me yesterday and i think he may have had a bang on the head as he said the lo's can sleep at his tonight, he has been promising them they could sleep for the last two months and then cancelling on them :mad: so if it happens i will be flying in peace tomorrow and trying to catch up.
elly how is your aunt doing? she had her chemo on monday and was ironing at 3am tuesday morning she felt full of energy untill about weds and then slept all day thurs and started feeling sick etc etc, she has cut out dairy products as they are making her feel more sickly, she is going to try ginger nuts to combat the sick feeling but not sure if there are any other options(she is also an insulin dependant diabetic so she will have to explore options that do not contain too much sugar), will have to trawl the net for some ideas. thank you for asking after her toots x.
It seems the eldest has flown home for good and now i need to find somewhere to put him, he is sleeping on my sofa atm then going into one of the lo's beds when they get up, he has suggested the cupboard under the stairs :rotfl:as he does not like the idea of sharing a tiny box room with his 4 yr old brother. The other option would be to move feebs(6) into the small room and put the boys into her room but i don't think she is keen on moving out of her princess room. Off to have a coffee and then feed the cats and clean up after the puppy and get the kids ready for their weekend, hugs to all that need, want, like them x

FFP thats good to hear that piper is a bit better - hopefully she is over the worst now. Dont be overdoing it yourself - you need a bit of rest to catch up on this week.

LadyL hope you are ok angel - thinking of you and sending hugs! xx
Triker hope you are still improving honey - are you managing to eat?
Disdisbiff I hope you are not planning to do all that today? weekends are for rest and relaxation not running around like a headless chicken!!!!!
    AnW'sMum hello you!!!!

ooooooh Natty sorry to giggle but i could just visualise you going in and out of the garage - negotiating the stuff in there - been there done that and got the t-shirt!!!! Not good that it blew after 2 months but you should get a replacement or a refund no problem through amazon and then you will have a spare.
I am delighted you got most of the vet's bill - what a shame a friendship has to end on something like that after all that time but she was taking advantage of your kind nature and should have paid instantly you told her there was a problem - anyway puddy is now in good hands and will have a happy life with you.
elly she will need to rest a lot as the body needs to deal with the chemo drugs and it cant if she is trying to do things so tell her to take it easy - and did she not get anti sickness pills from the hospital - she needs to take them regularly and if they dont help then tell the hospital and they will increase it to something stronger - they always start you on the lowest level of nausea tablets and then increase if you are not good.
What about the 2 youngest sharing and then Ds could have the boxroom?
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

    note to self p 50

Had a lovely night with my friends round at my post-op friends. Leapt up like a good un after our takeaway to wash up - because I didn't want to get lumbered with the hateful drying :rotfl:
When I got there I did a few jobs for her including watering hanging baskets and tubs so we are hoping I wasn't too late. Her b/f and mother seem to think that watering every so often's enough! And there is no way she can water. She's having a few problems and is tender on one side so has to go for a scan...she's gone through it with this over a long period (which ironically is what she was suffering from IYSWIM) so I'm hoping they get this sorted for her.

Kids off to dads so I am very busy e baying on behalf of DS's friend and word hunting!

We had a good laugh when I told them about the 'well worn shoes' 'ladies'...:rotfl: not least because I could remember some names and feedback...

Oh! and my PRINCE is back...
My CD which went AWOL Easter 2008 (Prince's Greatest Hits) which got mixed in with friend's stuff when she stayed here has been located and returned:D:D:D:D

My new curtains arrive today from ebay seller and they are ace! :jI wanted a thick pair for winter and they are just the thing for the living room. I was going to wait until the season changed to put them up but I'm so excited I'm going to do it today now! A cheap discount fabric shop quoted me £300 for a pair for a smallish window for equivalent fabric and lining and these cost £48 +P+P

Bathroom cleaned, kitchen and bathroom floors swept and mopped, all bins emptied. Just off to the spare room in a bit to sort the desk out etc and do the bits from Fridays list and get ready to chuck out!

    Morning All

Well I finished my ironing off this morning before I went out although the washing on the line is now dry so that'll need ironing now. I've been to the library, taken DH to the opticians - we are sort of talking now, he's in bed at the moment - got a couple of birthday cards and some bin liners. I have a huge pile of clothes to put away though and I hate that bit.

Not sure what's on the agenda for the rest of the day - usually takes DH about an hour to recover - but I suppose I ought to get some jobs done now.

    HHC 11.15 - 11.45 anyone?

    Morning all

Not much going on here, DH has gone fishing for the weekend.

It's bright and breezy and I've got one load of washing out on the line.

Otherwise, generally tidied round. Sorted out my vase of flowers which was looking a bit sad. Watched Corrie from last night. Read the paper.

    Hope everyone's OK :)
