Back from swimming, LO desperately wants a shark fin.....its like a foam thing, I think - that straps round their stomach! They used them in swimming lessons, but i cannot find one to buy anywhere for the life of me!
This is what you mean, W loves them as well. Saw you went to Folly farm as well the other day, we took Miss and W (when he was a baby) and had a great day out. DH took Alice on the fair ground rides including the waltzer, she was 3 at the time!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

ah but they also deliver flowers when someone has lost a loved one so there will be some sad tears in there... but yes I think it must be a pretty nice job most of the time.. and very rewarding... And you get to work in a shop that smells nice!
Nods, our house looked like a florists when DH died!
The funniest bit though (can say this now 3 yrs down the line) was the poor postie who delivered boxed fresh flowers, 'Hello Mrs AnW flowers for you' 'thank you' 'is it your birthday' 'no' 'oh an anniversary then?' 'erm no it's my DH's funeral today' 'Oh Mrs AnW I'm so sorry, oh no Mrs AnW, oh no Mrs AnW I'm so sorry' all while pacing up and down the drive with his head in his hands! Due to my age he was not expecting me to say anything like that so it was understandable.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

I am also glad i dont have a TV as i would hate to turn into a daytime tv fanatic - I cant understand people who slob about the sofa watching daytime tv all day when there are jobs to be done but I can see how it could happen. it would be so easy to fall into the routine of watching stuff and then getting fed up with the mess and not knowing where to start - eating in front of the tv - falling asleep on th sofa - more tv - yes I do think I might end up a right slob!!!!:rotfl:
You are not a slob Mrsyou are someone getting ready for an invasion of the SS brigade
:j But I do agree it is so easy to sit around all day and do nothing. When DH died I did practically nothing round here for a LONG time. I made sure we were fed, clothed and clean and that was about it. Now I have decided that it is time to get this place in order hence the dot2dot system that I am now employing. It is certainly working well here and the improvements are beginning to show. Rome was not built in a day as they say
Miss A is helping and W WILL help in the future :rotfl: but children around the place does slow things down as they have loads of toys an quite rightly like to play which makes a mess from time to time.
Who knows I might even post pictures on here for you all to admire! All this getting organised is certainly helping me get more exercise as well which has to be a bonus. I don't have a pedometer but my step count must be a lot higher as a result of all this industrious activity!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
I have just been (well quarter of an hour ago) up the road to the post box. Got there say 11:30-11:40 (no watch on LOL) and it says on the door thatcollection is 11:15 Sats BUT the SAT label was still in the slot so I have assumed that collection still to be made. Hope so as I dropped the post in and one item was BIL's card and it's his birthday Monday!
Was accomapnied by a small furry tabby BUT she wandered through the gardens and darted all over the road while I walke don the footpath. She got distracted on the way back but not worried as it was close to home. She often comes with me when I walk darting through gardens and leaping hedges...but she has her boundaries.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

elly she will need to rest a lot as the body needs to deal with the chemo drugs and it cant if she is trying to do things so tell her to take it easy - and did she not get anti sickness pills from the hospital - she needs to take them regularly and if they dont help then tell the hospital and they will increase it to something stronger - they always start you on the lowest level of nausea tablets and then increase if you are not good.
What about the 2 youngest sharing and then Ds could have the boxroom?
toots xx[/QUOTE]
Will find out if she has any anti-sickness pills when i phone her later today, my cousin had to have an emergency c-section a few weeks ago and my aunt is helping her with childcare and general everyday stuff so she may well be overdoing it, will see if i can help my cousin out so my aunt can get some rest.
I did think of having the lo's sharing but DS (4)is over run with females, untill eldest DS(18) flew back home he was the only male in a house of 4 females ( even 4 out of the 5 cats are female and so is the new puppy:rotfl:) DD (6) has only recently stopped plastering him in make up and dressing him up as a fairy princess so i think he needs his little haven that his room is for some peace from us all0 -
