Back from swimming, LO desperately wants a shark fin.....its like a foam thing, I think - that straps round their stomach! They used them in swimming lessons, but i cannot find one to buy anywhere for the life of me!

He had me in the sports shops and everywhere looking for one, but no joy! So we went swimming anyway and them came home and had our lush spanish chicken with cous cous. Even the little one munched it all, no complaints!

Crumble is now in the oven and Littley is dancing round like a looney waiting for it to cook....

Off to update my list and tidy up some of the ironing that I havent done from the living room.....actually, I may be really good and do some more...

hex thanks, we've got all the paint now for the new house (we'd bought most of it for here) but need some cheap stuff to touch up here now...so will have a looksie. I actually want some lights too.
Good Luck Jo for the interview

Oh yes Shark fins are expensive, most swimming toys are, but my kids love them. The fins are very good.

Well that's the TV unit bought, DPs dream TV unit he wanted. The new house doesn't have a fire or fire surround which is very odd but DP has always wanted one of these (Mudbath don't click) http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S19865158 but we've never had a big enough bare wall to get one, so I gave in, came to over £600 with the drawers I wanted but hopefully it will house a lot of our things. There is loads of space for books, CDs, DVDs etc which we currently have in the conservatory so we needed somewhere to put them in the rooms we do have LR/DR. DS1 can then have the spare book case for his bedroom as his book collection has outgrown his! Anyway he's said he will keep it clean, I do hope he does as it's high gloss black and will take some keeping clean! I really hope it goes ok, we have cream walls, a black rug which has a cream rose pattern and cream ish carpets ordered, cream suite for now but we will be changing it eventually......fingers crossed then.

Just been over the new house to drop it off and it looks really good, all the decorating is done, Matthew's Dad has done a great job. Such a relief that it's done as I hate decorating so much. We have told him to leave the doors as we want to replace them with nicer ones and to leave the stairs for the final coat as we will probably catch it with stuff. I do need to get some of the mouldy bits off the sealant in the bathroom, give the bathroom and kitchen a good scrub and get the bits of carpet that are still down up. That's all I can do over there really, until the big move week *think it will be 1st Sept as DPs Dad can have the boys* so just a case of packing and more packing here. I don't have many boxes so going to have to prioritise what can go/be emptied and have a good old fling! Chucked another bin full today which will help.

Oh I've just realised the children haven't had tea yet, I best get them something made.
One day I might be more organised...........

    hi all

I'm amazed - i'm up to date with the thread this week, if not with the flying!!

blood tests were fine thanks ffp and others for asking. Dr was much better at getting the blood than the phlebotomist at the hospital was last time! made it into work by 10am so just used my normal flexi rather than having to take medical time which is good.

DH has done a fair bit of the list today, I need to do a few bits he has missed but at least it's something. I made a lovely chicken tikka masala which my SiL gave me the recipe for - really nice and much healthier than a takeaway/restaurant curry! we even had poppadoms etc. shouldn't have jeopardised my diet as i had a smallish portion :)

we're out walking again tomorrow but I intend to fly on sunday and finish my list....if I can locate it!

I think toots is right here,

With my OH we stopped showing each other affection when just the smallest token would have made all the difference as we learnt when we nearly split for good. It really would have made all the difference, instead I retreated inside myself and stopped communicating with him and with others.

How about trying a little chat about how you feel and a little cuddle and see how you feel afterwards

    Hope you are ok rose
Thanks Fedup that really helps. I'm really glad now that he made me tell him what was wrong, that shows he does care, and I did tell him (tactfully) how I've been feeling and we talked again a bit last night so I hope things will get better. He was so sweet on Tuesday and I do think now that he loves me, I just needed reassuring I suppose.
I'm really sorry to hear about your relationship, but I'm so glad you posted about it as it makes me feel better about what's happened xx

Rach, when will you get the results from the blood tests? Glad the doc managed to do it ok

I'm so glad it's the weekend! Going to have a nice relaxing one. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

only very nearly made you cry ....will have to work harder next time!!!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
    I hope you like them

The only reason I didn't cry was because I was due over NN's v. soon and didn't want to go there with red eyes. They are lovely and I like them very much. They are in a vase in the living room for all to see and are nice yellows and oranges and reds. They complement the room beautifully.
Soappie that was a lovely surprise from Toots.

It certainly was a surprise. The lady who dropped them off was clearly pleased with my reaction which went along the lines of "for me?" "well you are.. Soappie... aren't you" "yes. But....." "Well then they're for you!" and she walked up the garden path with a big smile on her face.
