Lil me - and anyone else decorating - there is a 15% off BnQ voucher next weekend here the hotukdealsthread says it is valid on everything except managers mark downs.

DS1 and I just made the chocolate brownie biscuits off economy gastronomy - very sweet even though I cut down on the sugar. Half batch made 10 big biscuits. Much prefer half sugar twinks, but I only eat the raw mix on those.

Does that count as one off todays list then? Other than that I have emptied and filled the DW, been to work and then done lots of boring weeding.

    Oi Toots!

You listening to me? You are an extremely naughty and bad, bad lady.

The doorbell has just rung and there was a lady standing there with a big bunch of flowers for me from you. You really shouldn't have spent your money on me but I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You very nearly made me cry......xx

Quillion, hope you are all ok after the fat fryer explosion, that sounds awful!

Rosep - hope all goes well tomorrow. If it was any other occasion, I'd say let's meet up for half an hour. You'll not be far from where I am...
That would have been nice, we must meet up soon. I couldn't have today as Dad picked me up and took me and Grandad down in one car but another day would be really good
Rosepink ditto what hex said - you have been in this situation before and you decided then you would be more positive and focus on his good points - so whats changed? You have to accept what you see/saw in him or if its that bad that it is getting to you then you need to decide whether you should do something about it.
I think the problem is that I feel unlovable, and he's not very good at showing he loves me, and I'd managed to convince myself that he didn't love me anymore. On Tuesday, we talked as he made me tell him what was wrong, and he was so sweet and kind, and we had a nice talk last night too when I explained a bit more about how I've been feeling. I know it's really hard for him to show affection sometimes, he finds it very hard to express his emotions, but I feel so bad about myself that I need him to tell me he loves me and be a bit more affectionate than he has been lately. He's very good when he knows I'm feeling low, he gives me hugs and stuff when I'm crying, I just need him to be a bit more like that at other times.
I do know how wonderful he is tho, and that I'm a very lucky girl to be married to him. He has many good points, which I value greatly, which is why I was so upset when I thought he didn't love me anymore!

I feel guilty going on about it on here, I know some wish they had someone to share life with, I'm sorry.

Today went well. It took about three hours to get there, and we met up with my auntie on the way and I went in her car for the last part of the journey which was nice as I don't get to see her that often. The service went well, the place was packed full of people. Dad's uncle read a poem, which was very moving and their son said some words about his mum which was lovely, she was obviously very well loved. It was nice to meet some more of my family that I'd never met before, Dad's uncle is a very funny man altho he's quite ill now and was in a wheelchair. He was happy to see so many there and we were all glad we had made the effort.

I'm very tired now, not going to do much for the rest of the day. Will try to wash up later.

Thanks Toots for the link to the website about moving house, I've saved it in case I need it in the future!

Going to catch up with the thread some more as I'm quite behind.

  • DDs off for long weekends. DD1 with boyfriend and his family, DD2 just waiting for Daddy. Then stuff it - I've done everything Mon-Fri, so tonight is time for a steak sarnie, TV till bedtime and maybe tomorrow I will see about using up the half tub of posh paint the neighbours left me and doing the tiny hallway!

Rosepink - Am pleased your OH has been giving you hugs lately when you need some. I sometimes get annoyed with my OH when I feel all down and he doesn't give me a hug, but then I realise I haven't actually told him ;):) Luckily, after a few years and a few words here and there, he now usually recognises the thundercloud over my head tends to mean I could do with a bit of love :D

    Update:

Making dinner now as DH will be in soon (if only I could join him in a nice glass of wine... major downside of breastfeeding ) Then I shall have a bit of Neighbours on TV before finishing off the kitchen . I think I will leave the vacuuming for DH to do first thing tomorrow though, the sharing generous wife that I am.
