£1.25 a window is about what i charge give or take a bit, its the norm in my area. i have many satisfied customers. i'm with WINDOWCLEANER on this, many of us are reputable, insured and legit and provide a friendly and reliable service.
I've come onto this thread as I've just been quoted £10 a month for my small 3-bed terrace. I wrongly assumed that was for more than one clean at that price! Last time I paid a window-cleaner was years ago and it was about £3. It took around 5mins for 2 guys to do the front and back and I'm kind of regretting it now!
Most people living where i live (a rural area) pay around £1 per two-pane window if they have their frames done aswell. All depends on the window cleaner but if he's thorough, if he does the edges of the glass and cleans the frames, he's much more expensive. You get what you pay for.
the £2 window cleaner I know have been around for over 30 years and have 6 vans and probably a dozen or more window cleaners. They can do a 2 bed house in about 5 minutes so thats £24 per hour per window cleaner.
would say charging £7.50 for a 2 bed is a rip off mate
- if the window cleaner is rubbing your windows with a dirty cloth then yes it's a rip off, if he's doing a propper job, its a good price!
I live in a three bedroomed Town House and have been here for 30 years. I have had the same window cleaner for this time. He charges me £2.50 per visit, usually every fortnight.
