hi to all
this maybe a silly question but if i break and egg and put it in a little dish can it be frozen im not sure if eggs can be frozen so if anyone know will they let me know

Hi moutard,
You can freeze eggs but you'll need to beat your egg a little first to blend the yolk with the white as the yolk can become a little hard after freezing. If you're freezing more than one egg, don't forget to label your container with how many eggs are in there. This thread has more advice:

I'll add your thread to that one later.

hi pink-winged
thank you so much for your quick reply and advice i can freeze all the eggs i have without wasting any of them
once again thanks0 -
once i have lightly beaten the egg i pour it into one of those silicone muffin cases to freeze then pop it out into a bag
as i have my own hens i beat say a dozen together then pour into the cases as 1 x muffin case full= 1 egg saves me beating them ndividually
i did read that you have to add either a pinch of salt for savoury or sugar for sweet uses and i do this and of course label the bag i have put the frozen eggs into so i dont end up with sweet scrambled egg
when i need egg i just defrost it in fridge give it a stir
have used these for baking etc no problems

Right I have 18 eggs left from my pack of 30 I bought for £1.99 at an Asian supermarket.
If I crack the eggs and bag them individually is this safe to do?
I don't want to waste hem and I don't have any space at all in my fridge or freezer for cakes because I've stocked up to the max.
Would like to hear if their is anyone who does this or has info on the best way to do this.

You have to freeze them seperately. Yolks in one pack and whites in the other. You can whisk the whites into meringue too, which freeze very well.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

i freeze eggs all the time...I beat them then pour that into icecube trays, ita about 3 per egg, perfect for baking, and i use 1 cube to egg wash pies etc. never had any problems. and dont bother with seperating them..today's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.
