Evening Dotty you had a good day?
Well done on getting your stuff sorted. £10k in a year should be achievable.
I am aiming to pay off £8k this year but think I might make a little more than that. Maybe I could aim for £10k in a year from now as well.:DProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Ok so heres how it looks, doing the mse budget of martins i can stick to my budget and live within my means, well for the time being until i do my annual tax credit declaration....i guessi will have to cross that bridge when i come to it?
Anyway heres the problems<
I have to repay my Dad 1350.00 on pay day which is what i owe him as he had to pay some of my holiday or i would have been too late, incurred charges and lost deposit (i know it was dumb) and im regretting it but i may aswell come clean to you all.
Also one month behind (£116) counxil tax.
Also behind capital one, need to pay £110 on pay day.
Behind on ground rent, need to pay 135.25 asap.
So as you can see - on an average month, if everything was up to date i could manage and even budget but cause of the stupid holiday ive messed everything up big time, even if i did manage to stay afloat until end july once ive paid up my dad for the holiday, chances are i will be a lot worse off as i reckon my tax credits will go down dramatically for this next yesr...
any help/advice would be appreciated.Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0 -

well that was a bit of a waste of time, didnt acheive much at all - dont think he was in the mood and anyhow he didnt seem that interested, told him that once tax credits go down we will be struggling and he said (to be fair i think hes prob right) we cant cross that bridge until we know exactly what were going to be getting.
Told him the extent of the debt and the total amount, he seemed a bit taken aback and then proceeded to ask me why certain balances i.e his barclaycard etc were still so high - explained that after this month and once i know where we stand tax credits wise i am going to srart to tackle one at a time...
and that my friends was basically that.......dont think i conveyed anything acrosss to him at all - feel like a waste of time!Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0 -
Hi,
I just wanted to say, that if he is anything like my DH, it sometimes takes a while for him to 'process' the information.
I forget that I've just given him the info but that I've been thinking about stuff for days or even weeks....
Just wanted to encourage you...0 -
its a bit frustrationg that i spend so much time worrying and trying to sort the money situation out and trying to budget, save money etc - think its probably a case of hes happy and trusts me enough to let me just get on with it which i enjoy doing in a way but in another way it means i take all the worry and stress about the financesFocusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0
