Hey all thought id give myself a quick 'bump' im thinking of getting an upto date SOA on here as soon as - may get the weekend tho - working full time leaves me little or no time in the evenings for paperwork lol..

Started trying to stick t osome kinda budget but its hard at the mo as ive got hols to pay for so have to get that paid off (i know, i know)...

One bit of advise thos i need - due to EON's mistake in the past i am now lumbered with a gas/elec bill of 800 odd quid (was prev 1500) but am struggling to pay this back ot the rate of 195.00 per month which they insist on - where do i stand with this?

    any help?

LOL keep trying to bump but no joy so i shall rant away to my hearts content...had a few days off work, done some gardening etc - made a really nice change to be honest...but tis back to work today - groan !!!

Keep meaning to do an updated SOA but really need to get all my figures together so i can see them for myself let alone a anyone else.

Made a total boob and OH wasnt too pleased, basically booked a holiday for us all inc. 3 kids and only gave myself like 3 month to save up for it leaving us totally skint and on the tightest budget known to man....we had an argument and he obv. threw this in my face and i know hes right - thats the top and tail of it - i shouldnt have put us in this position. I take all the responsibility for sorting out our finances and to be honest before we both were self employed i did a good job of it, then as some of u will know the shop failed we were drowning in debt and although ive made some inroads into it - were not out of the woods yet..and i feel somewhat responsible for not working out a strategy and sticking to it enough.

I think i need a kick up the bum - most of the larget debts are on agreed payment plans but there are 2 or 3 smaller ones constantly phoning for money - i want to make F & F offers to get shut but would only be in a positioe end July to pay a few hundred quid off - what can i do till then?

Plus as above i still owe EON over £800 and am stuggling to pay the £195 per month they are deanding :-(

    HELP!!!!

    Hiya.

I think you should pop up an SOA - your circumstances have obviously changed enough to warrant it. I don't imagine anyone is going to be able to offer many hints for a seasoned pro like yourself, but it'll probably help you seeing it in black and white.

Does this mean OH isn't going on the holiday, since he is so against it..? There's a saving already... ;)

Hi Can anyone help please with some advice/comments on my updated SOA, not as bad as it was previously way back but I could do with a little advise, at the moment im not alocating things properly to my budget to save for things in advance such as car tax etc as the moneys being used for debt repayments. I have a job, as does my husband that pays a basic plus commission so obviously the income fluctuates so I have estimated ours on an average month, this can go up ad down....thanks

Not that much to cut, but gym, sat TV & food savings should be at least £150 a month. When are loans etc finishing, also gas arrears etc? Can you negotiate a payment holiday with Bank of Dad?

Only other thing I can suggest is increase income - second job at evenings or weekends for 1/both of you?

Assume you already ebaying, car booting, mystery shopping, quidco etc?

    good luck x
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hi there - I agree with you not much to cut back on at all apart from the obvious, what im thinking of doing is concentrating on the latter debts to get cleared asap, tehn obd trying to pay off other commiments i.e car loan and secured loan etc asap,

Im thinking of trying to concentrate on the smaller ones first so i can see progress at getting rid one at a time - what does everyone think?
