I've had read receipts from both councillors and the MP but no replies. One of the councillors did act last week though by forwarding it to the director of adult care who ordered it be looked into, so it was more about keeping her in the loop.

I've just been to see my health trainer, it was the longest appointment since I started going. Quite a bit of it was her staring at me in openmouthed shock at what the social worker had said. She's going to speak to her co-ordinator and see what they can do. It was really good to have someone in RL agree with me that it's not on, you lot are great but you can't actually do anything, and hopefully she can kick some !!!!.

Off back to bed now. Every time I have a shower I think that it can't be as bad as I remembered, and every time it is, two days of feeling knackered. Really don't know if I'll be up to going to Scarborough, but it has to be done today or tomorrow.

Went to Scarborough last night to pick up the tent. We drove past the festival site and I said 'oh look, a ticket tout'. Then my sister realised the ticket hasn't turned up yet! She bought it on ebay a couple of months ago, and even though for the last couple of weeks we've been making plans for the festival she forgot about the ticket! She's emailed the seller, but I really don't know what to do since the festival starts tomorrow!

    Options/outcomes are:
    1. the seller's sent the ticket and it turns up today.
    2. the seller agrees to us going to Burnley to pick it up.
    3. the seller's a shyster, so we're without a ticket. Options then are:
    1. hopefully they'll be selling on the door, although this is really unlikely.
    2. get one off scarlet mist paying cash and try and get dad to give us the refund when it comes through from the original ticket (it was bought on his credit card).
    3. hope touts aren't selling for too horrendous a price.
    4. don't go.

I'm so mad at myself for not asking her about the ticket before and chasing it up when there was time to do something about it!

Phew, everything sorted. We managed to get a ticket from a tout for face value (no idea how we managed that!) which is £50 less than the ebay one was. I had to dip into a different pot of money for it, but I can replace it when the paypal dispute goes through. We've been and got our wristbands, and done the last bit of shopping, so we just need to go up in the morning, pitch the tent, get drunk, and enjoy the music!

Well, had a crap weekend. Missed half of it, spent the whole time walking on eggshells around my sister, and after about a day she stopped doing any of the caring stuff so I was well and trully stuffed. And we had to go into town and buy a spirit burning stove just so she could have hot water for her hot water bottle (cost nearly £30).

To top it all, anti social Ames struck again. I was running low on cash and was buying a bag at the merch stall with my debit card. I asked a guy if I could buy his t shirt on my card and him give me the money. I honestly thought it was ok to ask, but realised when he had a go at me and everyone around me started muttering that it was another big social no-no. I still don't understand why, but it's added to my list of things not to try again. Sister thought it was so bad because I'm so big. They just assumed that I was fat and lazy and didn't want to walk to the cash machines, whereas if I was skinny they'd realise that the stick was for disability and I couldn't walk to the cash machines. Who knows.

I'm never going to a festival with my sister again. Every time the same thing happens, she gets a free ticket as my carer and I end up looking after her, which means that my health takes a dive. Hopefully in future I can find someone else to go on a more formal basis. They'd be getting a free guest pass, food, drink and equipment provided, and the caring things aren't too hard - putting the tent up, doing the cooking, bringing me a couple of drinks a day when it's convenient for them, fetching things from the car.

One positive thing did come from it though. I had a big heart to heart with my sister and found out why she's so f****d up and blames me for it. I'm shocked at some of the things that went on, and I thought I knew the worst. I need to know what to do with the info, and to check that it's real. I'm sure it is though, because so much now makes sense. I'm not going to put the details on an open forum, but if anyone wants to know more then pm me.

Right, going to check the rest of my subscribed threads then go back to bed.

:(That post has made me feel so sad..........your sister sounds full of resentment towards you for some reason.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

It's because when she was 12 she was told by a doctor that all my mental health problems were her fault.
