Good luck with the decluttering too
Thanks SH- can't believe we might have the house in a couple of weeks!! I'm snowed under with prep for work at the moment. Managing to declutter and do some housework in between though.
Also need to check up on finances soon and see if I can save any more and meet by 3rd target for the 1 debt in 100 days. Then I guess I need to figure out what we I can save for the next challenge. It will be tough as for at least 2 months we will have double house bills from the rental and the new place. Might not be able to save at all and will have to spend some of savings on moving!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
It does sound like there is a lot going on at once! You are doing well with the savings too .... Hopefully with your new good habits even running 2 houses shouldnt be too badAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH and BTD- always lovely to come back here and find posts from you!
We had a chat with the vicar yesterday and the church is now booked for July 31st next year :j
I guess we need to look at venues next. At the moment we keep fluctuating between home/ village hall type venues/ hotel like places!! I guess we need to look around a few and discuss prices to narrow it down! Any tips?2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

I've moved and I'm back!
I've tried not to overdo things but I think we've done a pretty good job of settling in. All the main living areas look pretty sorted- as long as the doors are closed on some cupboards!
Lots to do to get sorted in the next few months but I'll get there slowly.
Unfortunately a stressful week at work last week meant that despite trying reallyhard not to overdo it i'veended up feeling ill. I'm determined to try and improve my health! I've got to learn to manage stress which is out of my control better. I'll also have to take care that I don't end up worrying about wedding plans.
Finances are feeling a bit out of control as I'm not used to doing joint finances. It will take me a few months to sort out direct debits, new spreadsheets etc. I'm looking forward to getting my head round it all- financial priority over next ten years is to pay as much off mortgage as possible. I' very nervous about spending now. We've had to buy some new white goods etc but have held off on soft furnishings and decorating for now. We also need to look at getting another car. I'm finding it scray thinking of having to spend so much out! It is difficult deciding what to spend when!
How is everyone?2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Hello Jellie
Nice to see you back again. Glad to hear you are settling in nicely to your new house, and I believe no house is a home unless you have cupboards or drawers which you have to hide away stuff in! I have several of these!
Better go as this is a sneaky wee post from work, trying to get back into following my diaries on here again, Facebook and the farm was taking over and that's not so good for the finances, not that it costs anything but the motivation on here is good if you know what I mean. Take care Jellie, and don't let yourself get stressed out, you know it's not good!

Thanks primula!
I know exactly what you mean about being on here helping with motivation. I'm looking forward to starting a new diary with some new challenges soon!
Although I'm debt free now I don't want to go back and I want to have special but frugalish wedding, get the house sorted and decorated for the reception and not break the bank. I really must figure the finances out and start as a MFW!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
