    Thanks Maysmummy.
Not much to report at the moment. Work is very busy and I'm pretty much unable to save any more money until payday!!
Am trying to work out what decorating etc we'll do in the new house when we move! Quite difficult trying to combine different styles of furniture from 2 houses and to find colur schemes for curtains etc to unify it all.

Perhaps just focus on your bedroom and the front room for now? the rest could probably wait? I must admit though I used to do little sketches (badly) complete with colours that I liked and plan out the rooms... I had a friend who was good at sewing and she made or altered curtains to fit for me so that was great....

The trouble is that downstairs is almost completely open plan so you can see all the furniture, wall colours etc from other rooms.
We can't decide whether to get all the painting out of the way before we actually move in to save moving furniture round to paint later! I think we can live with the upstairs colours for now. Although I think I have a bit of an OCD streak as I find it very unsettling if I feel like things in a room don't match ;-)
I was looking on the internet yesterday trying to figure out if I could risk trying to make my own curtains- I haven't done any swing in years!!

Hmm difficult one - I would be tempted to paint first if I could....

I think it will be best- now need to decide whether to do it all ourselves or get someone in!

Just received some fabric swatches and may have found a possible supplier for curtains and cushions!! Just need to get a quote and check if it matches possible rugs!
