I guess now I'm debt free I need a goal to focus on

You mentioned on my diary that you weren't having a holiday, maybe you could focus on saving towards going away somewhere to celebrate your new debt free life!

    Thanks KayleighPea!
One of the problems on the holiday front is that we might well be busy with moving, house organisation etc this year. However, a long weekend away would probably do the trick!
Am also hoping to go to Cornwall at least once- cheap relaxing break but we can be a bit flexible as to when we go!

How wonderful that you have been able to make a lasting impact on your spending habits! I have improved but still have a way to go on that front! I am still sabotaged by impulse buys - usually small ones - but they still add up!

With magazines - I subscribe to two now through tesco clubcard deals - so low cost and no guilt. I love reading - and at approx £1 a magazine - it worked out better than if I bought even 4 year... You can often do cheap magazine deals via quidco - and just cancel when cheap deal finishes.

I think you deserve a weekend away somewhere - what sort of thing do you fancy doing? I have booked a couple of concerts for the summer - and they are there like little friendly banners - going - hey you have something to look forward to.....

I have also started to write a bucket list of things I want to do...... Perhaps you could give that a thought!

    Good....

I need to do more decluttering - and ideally create a craft / thinking zone in my study....

Need to find a space to put an old underbed too - hoping half will fit under DS's bed and that other half under DD's - here's hoping anyway. It is one of those energy drainer things always nagging at me to do so I suppose I should get on with it LOL

Want to do more on the wii later and get the kids to do the same

At the moment most of my stuff is in boxes and there seems little point unpacking. There isn't really room here for me to set up my hobby stuff so I'm looking forward to moving and sorting myself out!
In the meantime I can get rid of some of the things which I really don't need/use/love!

I seem to have too many of those energy drainers hanging around at the moment. As the days get longer I'll hopefully get more energy!!

I can't face the wii today! Maybe you'll inspire me to have a go tomorrow!!

You're always a positive influence SH

Just done some reading while relaxing in the bath and wanted to write a couple of things in here so I can reread them easily

    * You're judged by the clothes you wear, not those that are left in your closet
*We use 20% of our possessions 80% of the time
*You can't separate your mind and body- if one feels bad so does the other

    Thanks

This year I have been trying more to choose things to wear that I know flatter me as much as is possible with my current body shape.

I know what 80% of stuff I don't use but still find it hard to part with!

I agree with the mind and body thing... that is why I have decided this year is the year to a) work on being happy and b) to work on being fit and healthy. Just done 23 mins on the wii fit - and my bmi has come down a little today too so pleased with that!
