Thanks! I'm dashing around threads with my news but really the most important thing I need to do is thank you all for your help and support- wouldn't have made it without you. You are all :A
Not sure whether I should now start a new diary, move to savings section or something?
I am sure I will still need lots of support to stay debt free and start saving.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant news Jellie.
How about joining the weekly spend challenge. It's on DFW but is open to anyone, regardless of their debt status. It's fun and helpful in controlling impulse buys
Well done!!!0 -
Virtual champers for all!
OH is still away so it is weird not celebrating - am just watching tv and mooching round here.
Thanks for your suggestion Maysmummy- I'll check that challenge out!
I'm going to keep with the 1 in 100 challenge and switch to saving rather than debt busting.
I guess there is no rush regarding starting a new diary. Could always head over to MFW next but it would feel weird not having it on DFW!
Thanks to everyone who has dropped by here!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Hi Jellie - quite a few people still keep their diary here even while doing the MFIT mortgage challenge... just treat your mortgage as a debt and stay here... don't go!!!! Plus I think we are the equivalent of a shopaholics anonymous meeting here - and even when recovered they recommend you still go to meetings to stay on track.... there you have to stay now LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks- I really would like to stick around here. I like the idea SH. As soon as we get the mortgage we were planning to start chipping away at it and will possibly get an offset mortgage. The plan is to build up savings which we can access if we want to extend house, get new car etc but every once in a while make an overpayment to the mortgage just leaving emergency fund in saving offsetting! Maybe I'll start a new diary over here when I start the Mortgage free challenge!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

I've just been out shopping to treat myself to new clothes. I was fully expecting to spend a fair amount of cash. However, although I tried lots on I put virtually everything back. I was standing in some really nice dresses but somehow couldn't justify paying the price they're at. I think I'll just look out for them in the sales. The dress I bought was £25.
As I wandered round I just really felt like things weren't worth the money or that I really didn't need them! What a difference a year on here has made.
Didn't even want to buy any of the magazines I flicked through.
I guess now I'm debt free I need a goal to focus on so I'm going to get back to thinking about what I really use or love and what is just clutter. Time for some more housework and decluttering I think!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0
