Thanks SH- I'd got out of the habit of cooking as much when I was ill so it is good to have the time and energy to get back to it.

    Another NSD today.

Another NSD and another £20 PAD.

I'm feeling a bit disheartened as I seem such a long way from reaching my goal- not sure I can get cleared by April. It's so tough trying to only buy essentials!

oooh hun dont be disheartened you are doing so well, just look at your little cc picture chart thats a huge amount you've managed, and your NSD's and PAD's are going wonderfully.

And I'm with you on the buying essentials. It really sucks, I'm struggling with it at the moment, but it's a means to an end hun, chin up xx

    Thanks Missy.

OH treated us to takeaway tonight meaning I could make it another NSD. Another £20 PAD.
Just wish I had more to spare this month. I'm going to have to do amazingly well in Feb and March to get to my target!
Would feel better if the house sale was going faster. Christmas, New Year and the snow has meant it's only just getting started.

Thanks SH- we had quite a lot of snow last night and today. Driving was very scary this morning but safe home now and getting some work done here.

    Hi Chris! Thanks.
PAD is a Payment A Day- you make a payment to the credit card every day and watch the balance gradually going down!!

Another NSD and £20 PAD today. Getting there slowly!

I'll probably try this pork chop recipe tonight from Jamie Oliver
    http://www.lovelyrecipes.com/recipe.php?recipeid=2099

I'm starting to get bored with writing the same old thing in my diary- another NSD, another £20 PAD.

I really had to battle the urge to shop today- just felt like going out and buying something, anything!! I don't know if it's due to boredom or a sense of being denied stuff doing the essentials only money diet!

I'm hoping trying to have an enjoyable evening cooking etc. and maybe treating OH to a cheap lunch at the weekend will make me feel a bit better!

    Any other ideas anyone?
