Typical 18 year old, apply for all the products they can.max them out and expect to get away with not paying it at the end by bleating on about not knowing what they were getting themselves into !!!!!!!!1
I owe £76 on a CapitalOne credit card that's paid off in full each month. That's all the debt I have. All my credit accounts are paid off via Direct Debit each month.
I'm not even sure why I'm bothering to reply to your comment.
First Direct searches my Experian file today. Should receive either an email or letter soon. I'll keep you updated!0 -
Just phoned FirstDirect. They said they're sending out some forms and they'll assess everything when it's all signed and sent back. They said they'll give a decision within a week or so of receiving all the forms back.
The friendly guy also sorted out some sort of 'Recommended by a family/friend' and said if it's accepted, myself and my mother will get X amount of money for referring me.
They have great customer service. Hoping they accept me.0 -

Good luck mate I hope they accept you, I should have my forms today and will post them tomorrow.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

I'll just copy the same as i've posted elsewhere about this guy! #13You dont say :T:T however, a lot of older people still use the term "general store" :rotfl::rotfl:.

Now look at this post right here: #18 and again, to quote

Now muppet, other than coming here rattling on about HBOS and the likes, get lost and do something constructive with your life.
All you have done in your few posts to date is be abusive to very respected members of the forum and this must stop. Not only are you adding to the tarnished reputation of your beloved bank but you're actually alienating people from you.
Being an a r s e isn't a gift, its a talent and unfortunately you are the weakest link - now sod off!:wave::wave:2010 - year of the troll

I got the email about we are sending forms out etc, is it then once forms have been returned is the credit search conducted or is it conducted during the application?
Its before you return forms if everything is ok, or after you return forms if they want to also check equifax or callcrappy mate - all explained here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=16821952010 - year of the troll

What was your HSBC BS?
Have you called them to ask
Mate I did, link to that thread is here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1682195
However, 1st do not allow appeals. They say send in stuff if you want but the answer will be the same. Its the way they are.
My HSBC score was always over 70 though (its 84 as of Thursday just gone) and I got preapproved £19k loan - ermmm, no thanks lovely!
I applied to 1st in June but HSBC told me they (first direct) should accept me based on my score as their (first direct) cut off for minimum acceptance to 'valued HSBC custom' is 75+ on behaviour score. When I told her I had like 1300 searches and 100 defaults, after she woke up from fainting, she did say that behaviour score might just not be enough to see me qualify after all - but I could still have the loan :rotfl::rotfl:
Point i'm making is my HSBC score did not help me get a first direct account in June, well it did cos it was weird that they preapproved me and stuff and told me the credit card limit but when I sent forms in they suddenly changed their minds. So instead of direct rejection, they maybe assessed me based soley on HSBC but I just didn;t quite make it (if I remember my hsbc score was 73 in June so not enough to auto-qualify if such a thing does exist!).
HSBC also told me that if I carry on using their credit card that will help with my first application and that this also adds points on your behaviour score which is probs why mine increased by 11 or whatever over the course of having the HSBC mastercard...?2010 - year of the troll

Bummer, mate thats probably the reason - your internal score aint high enough! This time write in and try appealing using your HSBC as back-up and try to mention the fact you run your hsbc account excellently and see what they say - they only stick to no if it was a credit score decline (i.e. you dont meet their min requirements)
sorry to hear they said no again mate..... :beer:2010 - year of the troll
