You must be even more excited now. I'm still nervous about when we go next month, convinced one of us (probably me) will say the wrong thing and they wont let us get married!
We have a spreadsheet with our costs on and then how much we have already paid. We have also worked it out as a percentage so I know that we have already paid 13.62% of our wedding. I know it's sad but our shared love of a good spreadsheet is probably one of the reasons we are together (beause no-one else is as sad as we are, haha)0 -
Tam, thats not sad. I've done something similar but not to the extent of how much we've paid as we're still in negotiations!

Just got back from visiting the Venue again with my parents.
Was great to see it around the right time of year - the gardens were in full bloom & outside was being set up for a ceremony at the summer house.
Got loads of ideas about place settings etc - I realise that there are amillion things you could add, but the venue is so prety & quaint that I want to keep it simple.
Garden flowers in plant pots, no "themed" table naming system etc.
Was all very exciting.
Giving notice next week too0 -

Yep, we've (I've) got a spreadsheet going too!
Had an amusing moment when giving notice. My fiance was quite nervous and just after I had my solo question bit, he went in and was whispering to me 'Maidstone or internet?'. I didn't understand, and then he was in the interview room. Then I realised what he meant.... I always lie about how we met because my family are very old fashioned and wouldn't understand. So I say we met on a night out in Maidstone, when actually we met online (on MSE actually!). So he was asking what I'd told the registrar, thinking they'd ask how we met, habits etc and cross check our answers :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

Hi ladies, glad to see this thread has picked up again, got a bit quiet for a while.
We are getting married on 11th June 2011 at Hargate Hall in Derbyshire.
Plans are coming along well, its quite a unique venue in that we will being staying there, along with the majority of our guests (sleeps up to 77) from the friday 10th until monday 13th.
So still trying to work out who will sleep where?, who gets on with who? etc. Sooo time consuming!
We are having a fish and chip van on the friday night so guests can get thier dinner as and when they arrive throughout the evening and also means that it doesnt cost us anything as guests pay for their own.
Then we get married at 12noon on the sat, so its going to be a very hectic morning getting everything ready. I'm considering getting a wedding organiser type person to over see the set up and running of the day. Not really in our budget, but think it save me a huge amount of stress.
The hog roast and chocolate fountain are both booked and deposits paid.
My mum (also a chef) is gonna do some canapes in the evening, so we've had lots of samples to taste over the last few months. (hard life lol)
Photographer booked and being paid by standing order monthly.
Wedding cake booked and deposit paid, just got to design it now and finalise price.
ermmm what else???
Oh, close up magician booked and deposit paid. Will entertain guests in small groups during photos etc, rather than a "show".
We are both dieting away as neither of us are happy with our weights and so I haven't even begun looking at dresses yet.
Bit concerned as to what the latest I can get away with finding one will be actually.
Also need to get my thinking cap on regarding how to decorate the room itself as the venue is solely ours for the weekend with no staff or anything to help.
lol Just realised how much I've written.... Sorry, just got carried away. Cant wait to share the excitement with you all
