June 2011 Brides

Hello everyone.

I'm another June 2011 bride :T The wedding has a bit of an Alice in Wonderland-esque theme (thats the only way I can think to describe it!) in that its a bit quirky and quite colourful. So far we've got these bits sorted & booked etc...

- The church.
- The reception venue.
- My dress!
- My shoes.
- Possibly the bridesmaids dresses (just the older ones to sort, the flower girls are done)
- The catering.
- The photographers.

I think we're doing pretty well to be honest! Still so much to do though.

Ooh, sounds interesting - tell me more (colours of dresses, quirky extras etc )

I have a pretty traditional dress in that its off white, but I have blue shoes. The bridesmaids are in a raspberry pink colour with cream bows. We're having a wonky wedding cake that'll look like it'll topple over any minute thats pink, purple and orange (a bit circus-esque I suppose). And hopefully we're having giant tea-cups as table centres, if we can find them cheap enough! :T I can't wait!

I want lots of colour too, although I'm probs going to go for a traditional dress as it'll be the only time I'll wear something so classy looking :rotfl:
Thinking of bright colours (or even multi coloured) for the bridesmaids though

Notice is done and I had some great news.....I can have my stepdad put onto the wedding certificate!! This is more important to me than anything else because as far as I am concerned my stepdad IS my dad. Got a bit teary in the office when she said we could!!

That's great news nunnygirl. How did you manage that? I'd much rather my step dad than my biological dad on there.

There's a new law that's come out apparently. They have to put on that it is your stepdad and he must be married to your mum for it to happen

Argh......no more reception venue........the one we tried to book doesn't have a disabled toilet and this is bad as my uncle is in a wheelchair.

Hey all!
Im another june 2011 bride! Getting married on the 11th

Hope your all getting on okay

Got the venue ( civil so getting married at the same place), cake and dj are both getting done by friends,make up artist and hair, harpist, some table decorations,garter, photography all done

how many guests are you having? we are hoping for 60 to the day and about 25 more to the evening. really dont want more than 60 to the day, but ya know we keep finding family that we need to invite!
