Ah Em that al sounds lovely, you're obviously really excited! It all sounds wonderful.
with regards to dress i wouldnt leave it more than 9 months in advance if you're thinking of ordering a new dress from a bridal shop. If you dont mind second hand or from the sale rail then you can leave it a lot longer than that of course!
I have my dress already but then im little miss organised!What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
I am really nervous about going to give notice now if they ask you questions!! thought you only had the seperate 'interview' actually just before you get married?!
What documents etc did you take with you pickle?
Am very pleased with myself at th mo have had a productive evening, i got my gerbera's from dunelm mill, didnt have pink so i brought white and have used flowerspray so i have hot pink gerberas! whoop! I have made my flower girl and lil bridesmaids flower wands this afternoon - got a few bits of sparkle to add to the top but i am pleased so far with them. Flower girl will be 3 and lil bridesmaid will be 10 so hers is a bit bigger.
(first time at putting my pictures on so hope it works!!)

It's nothing complicated at all, just ask if you've been married before, had different names etc and confirm your address etc, separately and together. I took my passport and a bank statement. Honestly, it's nothing scary at all
Your invitations look good! My sister is going to have a go at a couple of samples for us, I want black and gold with sunflowers on
Can't believe how much you've done already, em2656! I'm in awe!
Tho I have just bought 15 bottles of Cava for our toasts from Ocado with a £30 off when you spend £80 voucherThen had a panic moment that maybe it wouldn't keep that long..... Google reassured me!

Hey,
Well we have paid and our all registered!! Whoop! lol.
Its £100 to get married at the registry office, but lady said that the bits get reviewed in april so prices may change - last year apparently they went up £10 so nothing crazy different.
We were also able to change the time as they had no other weddings booked in all day - so who ever told my OH on the phone that 10.00am was only one is going to get in trouble.
We put it back to the next slot of 10.45; not massive difference but means we dont need to be there till half ten, compared to quarter to 10. so we pleased with that!
just looking at music and readings at the moment! OH wants beyonce single ladies being played when the guests go into the room!!! lol !:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!

Oooh yay congrats!! :j
We're not allowed to pay for the registry office until April due to the changes, but at least it means we have time so sort funds out.
Readings we've got sorted, but music we need to speak to the supernintendo registrar about the music we've pickedSealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

Well we paid the fee - £33.50 each so that part is done, but we will prob wait till april as well before paying so that the cost is up to date. She did say we can pay any time and then if they amount changes we just get informed.
we have one idea for the readgin - i cant remember if i saw it on here or in a magazine, but its called 'On your wedding Day' not sure bout the other one or who to read - what have you picked??
as for music we are hoping to have 'When you wish unpon a Star' the louis armstrong version ....(well we are having a disney theme but this version isnt too in your face, lol) then not sure for my entrance, but Somewhere Over the Rainbow - the ukelele version at end of 50first dates for signing the register/photos and then Michael Buble Everything for when we walk out... thats providing they are all OK'd.
I dont know about my entrance though - what are you having?:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!

Two readings we are having are
These I Can Promise
Author Unknown
I cannot promise you a life of sunshine;
I cannot promise riches, wealth, or gold;
I cannot promise you an easy pathway
That leads away from change or growing old.
But I can promise all my heart's devotion;
A smile to chase away your tears of sorrow;
A love that's ever true and ever growing;
A hand to hold in yours through each tomorrow
and
On your wedding day.
Today is a day you will always remember
The greatest in anyone’s life
You’ll start the day just two people in love
And end it as husband and wife.
It’s a brand new beginning, the start of a journey
With moments to cherish and treasure
And although there’ll be times when you disagree
These will surely be outweighed by pleasure.
You’ll have heard many words of advice in the past
When the secrets of marriage were spoken
But you know that the answers lie hidden inside
Where the bond of true love lies unbroken.
So live happy together as lovers and friends
It’s the dawn of a new life for you
As you stand there together with love in your eyes
From the moments you whisper “I do”.
And with luck, all your hopes and your dreams can be real
May success find its way to your hearts
Tomorrow can bring you the greatest of joys
But today is the day it all starts.
Songs we are having.....we have a whole list! We want Alicia Keys "If I Ain't Got You" somewhere though, and something by Michael Buble as well, but we're not sure what yet as there are so many songs by him that we can use......we were thinking his version of "Wonderful Tonight" though:T:T
I like that version of Over The Rainbow though!!

Thats the reading that we have picked as well - its lovely isnt it!!!
)
I dont know who to do the readings though... difficult. OH wants his dad too which is fine with me, but he would also like him to do a speech. I would like someone from my side family to do reading as well, my friends wouldnt be comfortablt too as are quite shy and i have my best friends as my bridesmaids so its not like i can get someone else who cant be part of bridal party in on the readings.... hmm difficult!!
would you ask someone to do a reading and then let them pick something? or would you provide them the reading?
I know what you mean with Michael Buble - could just play whole albums and would cover it all, lol! i like Wonderful TRonight - be nice!!
i am really loving the over the rainbow version, and i have just found a mix of that and 'Wonderful World' thats merged together and is bout 5 mins long so that could be the one we use!
Got my butterflies through today for our place settings! it is all so exciting! wont be anything coming for me through the door for next month as we need to pay photographer deposit, but then after can pick things up again!! lol x:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!

Hiya - I started a thread about that. It would seem you pick them then ask the person that you choose if they could read it x:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:
