Nunny girl did you sort your insert issue out?

Thanks Emma - i dont feel any of that at all - hubby to be does always tell me but i tell him to stop saying things like it! lol. Just do not feel it at all. I have heard that is when you know you found the perfect dress cos it sucks everything in etc! Going to need it big style! Prob have to get some sort of body sock i reckon - lol!
I do worry about going to a dress shop and not having any that will fit... thats scares me a lot!!
do you just want to go and try your dress on again?! :D

Vista print is amazing isnt it! had an email today saying that all of the bits i ordered are going to be sent out 13 days early, lol - so they will be coming through the door thursday i hope! Will be at home feeling ill and sorry for myself as i will be having a wisdom tooth out on wednesday with sedation :o( so going to be wedding planning when i do feel bit better through the day!

Flowers sound very nice - roses are lovely arent they! only have to sort button holes out for my flowers now - which will be emailing someon about on thursday.
I have artificial flowers; oranger gerberas with orange ribbon for 2 BM, and hot pink gerberas and pink ribbon for the other 2. Good old dunelm mill, each set - £3.99! got some oasis flower spray so have got the exact pink i needed.
For my flowers i have white roses in the middle with orange and pink gerberas round the outside - will have ribbon round the stem and need to get a photo charm too. Will prob get some bling bits to add to them!! my flowers cost £9.98 in total again from dunelm mill!! :D
FG have flower wands with white gerberas orange and pink ribbon handles and a black net butterfly on them too (think i put a photo a page or two back) i love doing arrangements so in my element!

When do you go to speak to the florists? Like your thinking though - a friend of mine spent £800 in flowers to do church/reception etc. they look amazing but SO much money!!!

hope you are ok too! xxx

When i was trying on dresses there were loads that didnt fit over my hips, doesnt help that wedding dresses are a size or 2 small than the standard sizing. I know what you mean tho, i dont believe my hubby to be half the time when he says i look nice! My confidence levels peak and drop alot, up and down like a yo yo!!

Thats brill about vista, i get a photo calendar every year! got a pen that i use for all the planning, going to order a bag to carry some of my wedding stuff in and a mug for defo! Love how u can pay by pay pal:)

Hope you feel okay! Damn teeth! :o

I was going to get artifcal ones too!!! yours sound lovely and such a bargain, u must be so pleased!! because they are just so expensive! but my friend used this lady who just does it from home and said she was amazing!!! and since found out loads of people say shes great - and alot cheaper than the mainstream shops! We were meant to go last week, but my fella was ill with man flu! think im starting with it atm... grr damn colds!!!

Take care, and try not to worry about your figure or your teeth!!:j

Oh no - how much was she charging then? is it something you could do your self? I cant remember did you put a picture or anything of them on here?

I didn't put a picture on here but she wasn't charging ridiculous money....£2.50 per invite but as we were going to need about 25-30 that was going to be a lot of our wedding budget (£62.50-£75)

They were like these ones ticket invitations

  • oh are they different to "normal" then? its so difficult isnt it to feel confident and happy! i know i have to loose weight cos its just not good, but i dunno what wrong with me really. I am a heffalump; 100%!!!
I dont understand how h2b can say the nice things to me at all... i hate having my mind sometimes!! lol.

Ohh - photo calenders... will def be looking into that one!! I have a mickey and minnie mouse canvas tote bag i using for wedding bits - has got them kissing on the front so it fits! plus i LOVE the pens from disney paris - know sounds silly cos its a pen, but it just writes so nice on all sort of paper!! (geek!) lol. Thats what i like too, and the fact that postage and VAT is normally no more than 3.50 odd on most items! never ever get board of using that website i think!!

yeah i hate my teeth! never had filling, nor braces etc - then all of a sudden in feb two my wisdom teeth broke - excruciating pain, had them removed just over two month ago - said no need to take others as they ok, then suddenly other one broke, so have had time off work, lost wages, been generally ill and feeling rubbish from it - can not wait till its out!!

That sounds good that able to hopefully get them cheaper - a lady i emailed was going to ask for bout £40 for my boquet which would have paid if couldnt found the roses that i wanted for the arrangement. real flowers are lovely, but its going to be nice knowing i will always have my boquet - OH wants it to go in vase on dining room table now! lol.
You will have to post some pictures when sort yours out, not good bout the flu; there quite a lot going round at the moment; keep doesd up on orange juice and cold flu tablets!!

Thanks for the kind words Emma xxx

Have you tried wearetickledpink, we are getting squares for 1.50 ( which i think is totally cheap!) ... dunno how much they would charge for those tho... but its worth an ask... the lady is really helpfull! even if you could ask for do it for it £2.25? still saves something...

    Bleeping bleeping bleeping bleep!! (SORRY!)

All this talk of colds etc and I woke up yesterday with a sore throat and thought nothing of it......today I could hardly get out of bed! :(

    Just made myself feel better though;

    • Ordered my save the dates, address labels and labels for the favour boxes (£7 from vistaprint:money:)
    • Got my photograph cards done (asking people to post their photographs to a specific website after the wedding ready to order next month when the new deals come in):T
    • Looking at table centrepieces and deciding I don't think we're going to go with the balloons.....but not sure:o:rotfl:
    • Looking for veils etc (I haven't even decided on my dress yet!)
    • Cakes (nom) from M&S I think:T
    • Also thinking that I want to wear tights with seams down the back but not sure that it will be in keeping with the 50's theme as I thought they were 40's?
    • Oooh and red leather gloves ;)

Hey nunnygirl, hope your feeling abit better?
    Well done on your progress...
dont buy a veil until you have a dress! I wasnt sure i even wanted one, and in the end i did and there soooo many different types and some dont go with certain dresses even tho you think they will! I bought some shoes, and they dont go with my dress but im going to use them for special occasions anyway so thats kinda lucky!
M&S cakes are meant to be amazing, a collegue from work had one at hers and it looked great, she just put a cake topper on and it looked fab!
Cant believe how quickly the 11th of june seems to be coming eh? its crazy how quickly! xxx
  • Hey everyone - hope you are all doing ok and hopefully getting over the colds!!

Nunnygirl - sounds like you sorted a lot of ideas out there! progress on the invites??

Have looked at the M&S cakes too - dont know anyone who has had thme - look nice though! Still v undecided with the cakes, someone at works mum makes very very nice cakes all decorated etc; so she said could go and have a talk, just depends on the cost really. Am stressing onver money bits at the moment which isnt good!

Am still waiting for my vista bits - am inpatient as early delivery date said was due yesterday...! lol! Just worry as we have issues with post around here - few other bits from ebay still waiting for too...am guessing the postman doesnt realise how important the reels of ribbon are for deliverly to me now!!! :rotfl:

you are right Emma - june seems to be getting so close now; we pretty much in september!! it is scaring me slightly as am feeling organised with most parts (apart from my dress :( ) but worry time going to slip away from me!!

hope you are all ok! xxx

But them im forgetting that im abit weird about being super organised and that my friend planned her wedding in 7months and it was amazing. I'm glad im not the only one who this like this! i think youll feel better and more organised once you get your dress sorted! Then hopefully everything will fit into place!:D Think i'll feel better when my flowers are sorted!

Tell me about it! It's going to be time to go back to college soon, then it's the C word (refuse to say it until a month before!) then it'll be 2011:eek:

Yeah I'm feeling a little better but decided today that it was a good idea to roll my ankle so I'm currently sitting with a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a teatowel on my ankle. :rotfl:

Can't really bear any weight on it :eek:so going to wait and see what it's like in the morning and maybe pop to the hospital and see if I can have it x-rayed:(

With the veil thing I am going to wait until I get my dress as I'm making my own :). Also I'm not bothered if my shoes don't match my dress....I like them and I am wearing them:T:T

Invites are go....getting the lovely lady making them to make up yet another sample (Bet she is sick of me now!) and once we say yet it will be all stations go!:D
