Oh thats good - must be a great weight off your mind know that they are hopefully all being sorted now!! Also very glad the ankle is getting better too.. have to just remember not to do too much on it; thats OH problem has bad knees ankles etc and when he hurts them worse in football wont give it chance to rest at all!

yes, same here - so many emails coming through but i think i am going to try (really really try!) and wait till next pay day..which is so far away - may have to have a play around on there just for fun! lol

Hi ladies,

Hope you are all ok?! Everyone seems busy and getting there - is anyone else getting worried by everyone saying 'it will be here before you know it!'? Better bloody not be, I've still got loads to do! Lol

I also need a mini rant so hope no-one minds (and if you do then just ignore me and stop reading now!)

My Mum told me on Thursday that my sister is getting married...on the 15th September - that's less than 2 weeks away! She has been engaged for a while (think it was xmas 2008?) but hasn't mentioned anything about getting married, they hadn't made any plans until last week. My other half proposed to me in April and we decided we wanted to get planning so set the date for June next year, and have got planning with what we want to do. Now I don't see my sister very often, we did used to be quite close but we both met our chaps (I cant say I'm really taken with her choice, far too !!!!!y and camp for my liking, but that's up to her) and we moved out the family home, things move on so fair enough.
So, you can imagine that after being told about their plans on Thursday, I'm happy that she is happy, but a bit shocked and mostly hurt. Apparently they wanted a quiet day without any fuss, which is up to them and good on them, but two weeks is a little short notice! My other half is working that day and can not get the day off work, and it's unlikely that I can have the day off either, so looks like we can't go. I'm just hurt that they haven't considered anyone else and have given such short notice, which means that I can't even go to my own sisters wedding - and she probably isn't even bothered. My brother and other sister look like they are able to go, so big family event and it's just me and oh that wont be there, and to be honest it makes me feel like sh*t. Even if I could get the day off, I'm not going without my oh, as that is just not fair to him - it would look like he is being disregarded as a member of my family and thats not nice. I can't believe that they are being so selfish - we have even arranged our wedding by the football season so our friends who work at a football club can come, and given everyone 12 months notice to book a Friday off work!
If they wanted quiet with no fuss, why have they suddenly landed this on everyone and created such a fuss? And I'm upset that by them saying they dont want a fuss, are they implying that me and my oh are making a fuss? Are they trying to prove a point or somthing? I haven't mention my wedding plans to anyone who hasn't asked, I deliberatly have tried not to be a bridezilla, so certainly haven't been going on about it for ages.
Thanks for reading, sorry for ranting. Dont know what I can do but getting it off my chest makes me feel better x

Oh Tam, sorry to hear your sis has dropped something like that on you

I'm an only child so don't understand the relationship that people have with their siblings but ((hugs)) to you.

I kinda of agree that if she didn't want to make a fuss she didn't have to do it at such short notice though

I thought it was me being a bit dramatic (as apparently I can be - me?, dramatic?!) but I've spoken to a couple of people at work (trying to get the time off) and they say I'm not, so that made me feel better. I've got to keep it a secret too, so I can't even tell my best friend (as she knows my sister and people she works with) or my future sister in law (who is on maternity leave at the mo, but does work at the same place as my sister) and I feel bad just having to keep secrets from my best friend and sil2b.

Hi everyone hope you are all doing ok?
Tam - that sounds like a right situation to be in!! Not good at all, dont blame you for feeling how you do at all, i would be the same!! Do hope you can get things sorted out as best as possible!

Only the girlies at work if wedding is being talked about say it will be here before you know it..i am getting annoyed with my mum and other closer family and close friends telling me got ages still!! Now thats really frustrating!! lol

I have made our brochures on vista print now! whoop, love them and am pleased with them!! Covers all the information on the day people need to know - address info, times, food bits rsvp dates etc. They are all saved on my portfolio now so can edit if need be and order next month or so!
We went to wedding fair sunday - spoke to few people about rings and cakes, so got few ideas there as well, also few people abot honeymoon as well, so all exciting!

Where are you all hoping to go?

Did any of you ladies watch Dont tell the bride last night? I loved the look of the first dress that the bride tried on - halterneck not full length; was really lovely!! Think i may have to search for simular as thats first one i have seen and really liked!!!

Hey everyone. how people doing? Its been bit quiet on here since my last poast...hope everyone is doing well with plans etc?
some of you must be able to say less than 9 months to go now!! :j

am very pleased - our honey moon is sorted and booked!!!!! so so so excited, OH mum and dad have done it for us as a present!! few select family/friends know they have done it for us, but have to keep it a big secret from OH bro and his gf.... i dont really care at the moment though about that part, we just so excited. Going on 1st September 2011 for 14 days to disney world florida!!! :j:jseriously can not explain how excited me and OH are - actual jumping around the room when found out about it.. along with lots of tears! Its such a crazt generous thing for them to do and i dont feel we deserve it in the slghtest, but its happeneing and cant wait!! Am so excited - going to get a folder and note book just for the honeymoon now to get notes and tips and everything!!
Have never been on a plane before, and just the thought of that and being in a different country seems crazy! :rotfl:

anyways enough of me running on about it all!! hope you all doing ok xxx

Aaw, that's really nice of them and you sound really excited. We are going to florida for a week for our honeymoon, then having a week in vegas, so I can imagine how excited you are. Where are you stopping, at a disney hotel? Should I pre-warn Mickey that you are on the way (well, he should recognise you from getting engaged in front of him in Paris anyway )

Oh dear i haven't really done anything since i last posted, i'm worried that if i do i'll jinx it and something will go wrong! My parents keep asking baout it al and i just reply just been doing bits and bobs.... but i haven't!! HELP!

I do feel like something out of a cartoon where i just want to burst from being so excited and happy!! i didnt think it was possible to be more excited with everything from the wedding, but this has topped it even more!!
When are you going?
That sounds a lovely honeymoon too - have you been there before? i know OH would like las vegas as well - dont take wedding money into the casinos though! lol.
We are staying in the all stars music hotel, inlaws2be said they would have gone for something higher up market, but they know that we arent going for the hotel and those bits - but to be fair i dont think there be anything wrong with one we are at, looks great fun!! they knew the travel agent lady too so have added its for our honey moon on there, and we already have planned on getting mickey and minnie wedding ears to wear when we are out there!!
have had someone else ask me about pre-warning mickey as well.....i hope he remembers us!! lol!!
