Movie/Premiere invites I was going to make them myself but kept getting wound up with the simple things (colour of cardstock etc) but I've found a FAB lady on another website who e-mailed me a sample today and it's perfect

Am gutted, and he is devestated over it all.
Long long story short - got everyone round for bbq so all get to know each other better - my maids all do as best mates n sister, the boys do too as OH friends - but not many meets all together and their OH's not been around at time before either so it was so no one felt left out at wedding, got to know each other have and fun! we didnt have engagement party or much of a fuss, no house warming earlier this year, my bday was bit non existant so wanted have a fun time all rolled into one!
best man gf is v.shy and even though i am shy to i have trouble talking to her...she is on the verge of being rude with it as just doesnt answer back. well bbq booked for over a month so every1 free; they told us had babysitter so would bring kids until bout 7, take em home and come back on their own we knew this from first talked bout arranging it too.
though they never came back; OH had a text message saying their cat not well and needed vet appointment....then found out on facebook they went out for the night into town.
There were lies to OH, and all this stuff BM gf saying about no one talking to her was a joke and she didnt feel welcome; not sure how cos i know that people were talking to her, but when 1 word answers arent much of a conversation starter! she had met everyone before as well, so werent all new people! Made a point of telling her she could come talk to me in kitchen as didnt know the others properly (i was sorting food bits out untill we were eating) and her excuse was couldnt leave little on (7months) in pushchair asleep on her own cos she needs to be around her.... yet was fine go have a fag at end of garden and leave her.
Just livid with it, BM made no effort with OH since he joined a different evening football team few months back, we never see them cos they cancel when things arranged. ( OH is gutted cos of the lies - in total we have had 4 different reasons why they didnt come back after taking kids home. OH said now he wishes never asked Mr X to be BM at all, so i hope he can decide what doing and be happier. We lost a page boy too in the process.
sorry - guess that was still a long story!!
am just still very angry with the situation as they dont think did anything wrong.

What a shame hun, some people eh? I totally know what you mean, my OH is shy but he makes the effort with my friends and they can really tell! Theres no need to be rude when you were being so nice to her in your own home. Your OH must have been gutted, but maybe its better its happened now and not next year?

Emma you are right - cos now he can do what he wanted to in first place. he not even sure why didnt ask his other friend. He is in he army, but they known each other since started high school, and the other guy is lovely, so i hope he does ask him )

yeah, he should ask him - so its all worked out for the best? Sometimes that happens though, and it just makes you value the people who are nice to you more

Got it from a proper bridal store, spent 3 hours in there today with my mum! The lady was so lovely!!! This was the last dress i tried on!

i still cant quite get my head around the actual wedding dress; all this preparations etc are fine, but actually thinking i need to get a big wedding dress and when i got my boquet the other day gave me proper knee wobbles!! lol, very strange!!

Yeah tried on loads, i really liked the look on some and was sure i wanted those, yet when i got them on they didnt look like me, and yet that one is totally not what i would have gone for... but it somehow felt so right! im not making much sense am i haha!

I know what you mean! Its a really weird feeling! How are your plans coming along? we are going to see a florist on friday!!

Emma that does make sense ) some of the ladies at work have said same sort of thing where the styles they liked in the mags etc were lovely and what they wanted then when they tried them on they just werent right!
I am wanting to look in mags and online, but i just cant bring myself too.. i am v unhappy with how i look at the moment, and i cant imagine looking nice in a pretty wedding dress, so i need to sort that first!!

ordered a few bits from vista print last night, so am excited for their arrival! got a tshirt with bridesmaid and date on it, a small banner and car magnet with Just married on and our names/date (we going away for a few nights somewhere after the wedding over the weekend so its not striaght back to normal) havent told OH bout the car magnet so be a surprise, lol. only had to pay postage for each so am pleased!
What sort of flowers do you like Emma?


thats good shell that you getting ideas down; do you know what sort dresses you are looking for? I hadnt really thought bout my BM dresses going with what i want... fingers crossed wont look too bad then! lol .

I have posted this on the general wedding chat thread so apologies if it's repetative!

OK, so I have a LOVELY lady making my invitations for me and I am stuck with what I can put on them.

I am having the movie tickets (YAY!) and was going to have a "Cast List" but have decided against it (just incase I fall out with people who are mentioned on it and "uninvite them" to the wedding".

I am having three inserts in a DL pocket fold, one is the ticket, one is the RSVP and I have a spare one and I don't know what to put on it.:eek:
